This fantastic beach resort is nestled on a hill and provides its guests with amazing panoramic sea views. Located on the east coast of Kefalonia, the hotel is secluded form the main vibrant areas of Skala town, 3km from the premises. A number of local bars and restaurants are reachable within walking distance. Argostoli, is approximately 37 km away.

Beautiful, but not for families.
We have just got back from a week long stay at the Apostolata and I absolutely cannot fault the hotel itself, the cleanliness, the room or the staff....the staff were absolutely amazing, especially Roubini!
We were told by TUI that this hotel was family friendly, which was important to us as we were travelling with a 3 year old, however I wouldn't recommend for people with younger kids.
All of the activities are centered around adults, my 3 year old can't play darts, table tennis or water polo and these were the only activities that were ever done. There is no entertainment for little ones in the evening, even a couple of children's songs at the beginning of the evening would be perfect. We spent a lot of our time in our room due to the lack of stuff to do.
The food was... interesting. There is a great selection of pork in various sauces every night, but for children unless they eat spaghetti bolognase, pizza and chips every day for lunch and dinner there is nothing. The fruit selection was poor and the breakfast wasn't great either. There are no drinks for children either unless you want to give your child fizzy all week.
I do also think that the hotels shop could do with a upgrade, as it's the only shop unless you get the bus or taxi into Skala, there isn't a great selection and it doesn't get restocked.
I don't want to say this hotel isn't worth a visit, as it is stunning and as I said the staff are brilliant and are what made our stay enjoyable.
For older people or couples it would be perfect, but I don't think id return based on the lack of entertainment and thought for younger guests.

Hi, it is rated as a 5 star but I would say 3 star, because of the old decor throughout the site you can see it is very outdated. Also the staff are really friendly, bus driver was really helpful and kind, mentioned depending of the guest he does several pickups and drop offs into Skala town. Our first few evening meals was disappointing not much selection of meats. Later on I noticed each night they had a particular cuisine which was nice. As for fruit you only get water melon and grape fruit. You won’t get fresh orange juice just Diluted and hot drinks for breakfast you have to request as you can’t help yourself to a coffee machine. Tennis court is very outdated. My husband ordered a meal at the pool bar and the meat was still frozen in the middle. The gym had rusty equipment only 4 equipments. Bedding quality very rough on the skin cheap Cotton. I have stayed in a few hotels on the Island and this I must say is a 4 star and decor 5/10.

SATISFACTORY
a lovely hotel set on the side of an hill. However it was down to the pool and up to my room/dining room/ reception with lots of steps with a heated hand rail due to the sun. the entertainment staff where very friendly, and smiled. the rest of the staff. reception/waiting on staff didn't smile although the service they gave was satisfactory. cleanliness fo room was very good. My room was at the end of a corridor with an opening to the out side(no door) and if someone wanted to cause mischeif i was the first room they would try. i was a solo travellier and don't think i should have been given that room. eg premier inn does not put solo female travellers in ground floor rooms for safety. the location was good if you wanted to sunbath all he time otherwise the hotel laid on a minibus to Skala and Poros so i had to take a tour to see Kefalonia. As i done not drive aboard. Tea and coffee wasn't toped up i was told it was because i was half board which was a load of traddle .
Great value for money, exceptional service
Very very pleased with our experience as a family at this resort- particularly the care and attentiveness of the staff. A shoutout to the entertainment duo (Nikki and Lee), lifeguard Nikki, and Roubini from the restaurant whose attention to the kids have been exceptional. Not just to my kids- I've seen how they make the effort to greet the guests and the kids making the experience feel very personal. Within a few meetings, they know them by name. While the hotel amenities can be modernised to meet 5-star levels as it advertises, I will say that it offers very good value for money. The service, the food, and views make all up for it.
I've seen reviews commenting on the lack of diversity of food options. Sure the breakfast is repetitive- as it is with most resorts, but the themed lunch and dinner, I was blown away. I am not keen on bland food but this resort had SO MUCH to offer, both warm and cold dishes. Fish, meat, vegetables. With pasta and pizza as safe meals for kids always available. While we were there we had Asian, Mediterranean, Greek, Italian, Mexican, and BBQ night (which was grilled out in the foyer). All of which offered plenty of options. More than majority of resorts we have stayed in. I will always rave about the food we had there.
Generally, the resort is very much worth the money and offers plenty of entertainment, diverse food options, great views, and topped by such great service by the staff.
We visited as a family of two adults, one toddler (4), and a baby on half board. My toddler misses all her favourite "singers".
Perfect hotel for our family holiday
We had a wonderful family holiday here in celebration of my mother in laws birthday . We had 3 family rooms do the 9 of us and our balconies has sea views ❤️ Beautiful views, perfect location and lovely hotel and pools . Food was really nice and very fresh . Staff were lovely and especially the receptionist Zoe was kind and helpful . Kefalonia is a great place to visit with beautiful coastlines and stunning turquoise waters .
