Blue Lagoon Village is a luxurious village style complex with 447 guestrooms. This all inclusive hotel is in direct contact with the sandy beach offering magnificent views. It is located only 10 km from the centre of Kefalos, near Paradise Beach one of the most beautiful beaches of Kos, only 7 km from the airport and 30 km from Kos town, the capital of the island. The Blue Lagoon Village offers a vast range of facilities like the Aegean Main restaurant with indoor and outdoor sections, the Thalassa Fish tavern, the Susshimi Sushi restaurant and the Golden Sun Chinese restaurant offering you different tastes from all over the world. The Mythos Taverna serves traditional Greek dishes, the Piazza Italian restaurant offers a taste of Italy, the Green & Grill is the place where you can grill your own combination of different meats and finally the Gelateria where you can enjoy panckaes, waffles, sweets and ice-cream.You will have a hard job choosing where to have your drink; at the Shake & Mix Pool bar any time of the day, the Wet Pool bar, an impressive swim-up bar, the Plaza Pool bar the Piazza bar and the Theater Bar in the afternoon or the Beach and Snack bar during the day.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed at Blue Lagoon Village in Kefalos at the end of June as a family of five with children aged 16, 12 and 6. This was our third visit to the resort, which holds a very special place in our hearts as it’s also where we got married back in 2012. Returning 14 years later as a family made the trip incredibly meaningful.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better holiday.
The resort has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and, despite its size, never felt crowded. We could always find sunbeds without any early morning rush, which meant we could enjoy lie-ins, a relaxed breakfast, and still easily find a spot by the pool or beach.
The food was excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all five of us. With children of different ages, it was great that everyone always found something they enjoyed.
We were super lucky and were upgraded to family rooms. They are lovely and spacious and beautifully clean. My only gripe would be that they were identical 14 years ago and in places are showing signs of wear with some blowing of plaster and peeling wallpaper. This didn’t bother us, but for 5 stars it could do with an upgrade.
The water sports were a big highlight, especially for the kids, and there was a great range of activities available throughout the resort to keep everyone entertained.
A real standout for us was the entertainment team. They were fantastic throughout our stay, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. They remembered our names, including the children’s, and always took time to chat and involve us in activities, which made everything feel very personal.
One unforgettable moment was when they nicknamed my husband “Crocodile Jon” after noticing his tattoo, and before long he was being invited up on stage to dance 😂. It was one of those hilarious, unexpected moments that the kids absolutely loved and made the holiday even more memorable.
The resort itself is beautiful, with spacious grounds, lovely pools and a stunning setting. We really appreciated the freedom for everyone to do their own thing, whether relaxing, joining activities, or spending time together as a family.
It worked perfectly for our mixed-age family, with all three children having a brilliant time — not always an easy thing to achieve!
Returning to such a meaningful place and seeing our children enjoy it just as much made this stay extra special. From getting married here in 2012 to now our third family visit, Blue Lagoon Village has given us some truly unforgettable memories.
We left feeling relaxed, well fed, and full of new family moments. We would definitely return again and highly recommend Blue Lagoon Village to families looking for a fun, friendly and relaxed all-inclusive holiday. 💙☀️🇬🇷
Eating and drinking in the pool is also acceptable and breastfeeding in the pool apparently anything goes here and noone bats an eyelid🙄
Just returned from 12days at the Blue Lagoon Village.
Upsides - 15/20 minute airport transfer, lovely clean hotel, no crappy wrist band, good quality food, pleasant service in the bars and restaurants and a hardest working animation team who were great with the kids and put on entertaining evening shows.
Downsides - remote location with nothing else around, cold pools (our daughter and the friends she made regularly had to come out to warm back up before returning especially around the splash park - we have never had that problem on a summer holiday before we normally can't get her off the water slides and out the pool all week), no mini bar (the only 5 star hotel I have ever been to without one) and a very expensive on-site shop looking to take full advantage of the remote location - a complete rip off (worth noting the shop is independent and not hotel run but they should still have some oversight to ensure customers aren't taken advantage of).
We used the spa and paid for a massage and found that professionally run, we also took a boat trip organised by our TUI Rep and enjoyed seeing a bit of the island - if we were to return we would certainly hire a car. Kos Town is a good hour away but the local village of Kefalos is only 15/20 mins.
We have stayed at Blue Lagoon Village four times now (2022, 2023, 2025, and 2026), and every visit has been amazing. This hotel has become our favorite holiday destination, and we always leave with wonderful memories.
The hotel is fantastic for families with children. There are so many activities for kids, several swimming pools, a beautiful beach, and even a heated indoor pool for rainy days. There is always something to do for both children and adults.
The food is excellent, with a huge variety of dishes every day. The different restaurants are all great, the entertainment is enjoyable, and the rooms are modern, spacious, and very comfortable. The entire resort is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The sea is crystal clear and absolutely stunning.
I would especially like to recognize Sahan Akalanka, one of the bellboys. He drives guests around the resort, and every time we met him, he welcomed everyone with a genuine smile. He is honest, kind, friendly, down-to-earth, flexible, and very easy to talk to. He makes every ride enjoyable because he is so positive and entertaining.
What impressed me the most is his attitude toward his work. You can clearly see that he truly enjoys his job and does it with passion and dedication. During all of our visits, I watched him many times, and I never once saw him in a bad mood or treating guests without respect. He was always cheerful, helpful, and professional. People like Sahan deserve to be recognized because employees like him make a real difference. He truly deserves this review, and I believe he has a very bright future in the hospitality industry.
I only have one small suggestion for the hotel management. The beach itself is beautiful, but entering the sea can be difficult because there are many slippery rocks and some sharp stones or pieces of wood in the water. They can be uncomfortable and may even cause injuries to guests’ feet. If there is any way to improve this area, it would make the beach even more enjoyable and safer for everyone. This is only a small suggestion, not a complaint.
Thank you to the entire Blue Lagoon Village team for another unforgettable holiday. We are already looking forward to returning again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, especially families with children! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
