Nice place with a perfect entertainment team
It was a very nice trip, I was for the first time in Kos and Aelos Beach was a confortable and nice place to be. But the highlight was the entertainment team, especially Dana ,who brighten up every entertaining action with her personality , her professionality and her humour.
Disappointing stay. Would not return unfortunately.
We stayed at Aoulus Beach Hotel expecting a relaxing all-inclusive holiday, but unfortunately it fell well below our expectations.
The biggest disappointment was the food. It was often cold, lacked variety, and there appeared to be very poor allergen protection or clear separation of foods, which was concerning for anyone with dietary requirements.
The drinks were equally disappointing. The alcoholic drinks were poor quality, and even the soft drinks and water had an unpleasant taste.
Our room also had several issues. The drains gave off a horrible smell throughout our stay, and housekeeping regularly left us with dirty towels instead of fresh ones, which wasn't acceptable.
The hotel's location wasn't ideal either. It's quite isolated and not within easy walking distance of anything, so unless you're happy staying at the resort the entire time, you'll need transport.
The beach was another let-down. It is extremely stony and covered in large pebbles, making it difficult and, at times, dangerous to walk into the sea without suitable footwear.
Sleep was regularly interrupted because grounds maintenance started around 8:00am. We were woken most mornings by loud leaf blowers and even tree cutting, which wasn't what we expected on holiday—especially coming from the UK where that felt like 6:00am.
We paid extra for the Premium area, and while having allocated sunbeds was a definite plus as there was no need to rush out early, the premium pool area felt quiet and rather lifeless. It also didn't have its own bar, meaning you had to walk back to the main area for drinks, which defeated the purpose somewhat.
The evening entertainment was also very poor and lacked atmosphere.
The positives? The pools are large and well maintained, and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful, with some fantastic views in the evenings.
Overall, despite a couple of positives, there were simply too many issues for us to enjoy our holiday. We wouldn't choose to stay here again
Perfect holiday
I was a little worried after reading some of the negative reviews but we had such a lovely stay at this hotel and really didn’t want to come home! The staff were lovely and welcoming and always friendly. We had a lovely room in the main hotel on the top floor and the views are amazing and the sunsets so beautiful. The hotel grounds are spacious and well kept and clean. The beach was also lovely, even if a bit rocky in places. The food did get a little repetitive (we were there for 10 days) but was great quality and really delicious and we enjoyed every meal. It was lovely eating at the beach restaurant as well. The cocktails were also great, especially the mojitos, and there was lots of choice. We never had an issue getting sunbeds around the main pool and we enjoyed the entertainment that was on during the day and evening - big shout out to Nil for making my sons holiday! We did a trip to Kos town and Tigaki which were both worth a visit! There is a shop in the hotel which sells all essentials, snacks and gifts. Would definitely recommend the hotel for a relaxing stay and would love to visit again!

Not 4*
More like a 3* hotel than 4*. A lovely stay with family but more could be done to make this a top-notch hotel. Rooms are lovely and spacious, bathroom great and Housekeeping fantastic throughout the stay. Fresh towels provided daily and room well cleaned. No dressing gowns or slippers provided. Beds single beds pushed together.
I understand no glass around a pool but drinking from disposable plastic cups is wrong, they attract flies and the bins were so full every day-reusable plastic cups would be a much better idea. Also eating from paper plates from the grill at lunch time does not say 4*.
Restaurants are okay, however do not cater much towards vegetarian and vegan diets. Could not clearly see allergens. Food seemed decent and enjoyed the salad bar. Restaurant by the sea is much quieter and serves the same food at meal times.
Entertainment was lacklustre however the two members of the Animation team tried their best every day, however did not start until after 21:00. No kid’s club or much entertainment for children.
The beach is a pebble beach, and pebbles/rocks as you walk into the sea. This made it very difficult and painful-multiple cuts and bruises trying to get in and out of the sea!
Appeared very accessible for people with pushchairs and who use wheelchairs, multiple ramps and there is a sliding door where you can access the main restaurant without having to access multiple steps. Outdoor restaurant is ground level.

Enjoyable but a little disappointed
Sad to say we are on last day here. Spending our final hours packing and taking in the last bit of our lovely holiday.
We have had a wonderful time on the island and meeting lovely people but im sad to say we have not been that impressed staying at this hotel. I have given this a 3 or of 5 as there are a few this I'd change to make this hotel amazing. I feel there could of been a bigger variety of food in both restaurants and better quality, I really get the impression this hotel is catered on a budget, unfortunately we was disappointed and only ate here twice and reverted to paying for bus/taxi into Kos town most nights. We upgraded to the bungalows and it was brilliant, the rooms are spacious, clean and modern and it was so relaxing everyday knowing you had your own sunbed outside waiting for you BUT... for the price we paid i would of expected someone to come round the pool more then once a day to ask if we would like a drink but instead we had walk tocthe other pool bar whci is a distance away. A pool bar or a bar closer would of been brilliant.
The evening entertainment was pretty poor for my taste but im not really one for karaoke. The last thing I was disappointed with was the quality of the drinks, all local weak alcohol and juices was very watery, the best place to get a cocktail is the inside lobby bar, i cant remember his name but he makes the best cocktails here. The pool bar drinks are not great. We did enjoy ourselves but this hotel let itself down on the food and drinks.
