This splendid hotel is perched right on the beach just outside of Kos, offering views to the shimmering Aegean Sea. The town's bustling port is only ten minutes away by car, offering ferries to Kalymnos, Rhodes and Leros, and those who enjoy history and culture might sightsee at the Roman Odeon and the castle by the port, just ten minutes from the hotel. Families can enjoy use of the two pools and children's pool, tennis court, and games room, while couples might relax in the spa with indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and massages, or relish a more adventuresome holiday with Padi diving lessons, adventure sports and horseback riding. The spacious rooms and suites are tastefully decorated and feature wonderful mountain or sea views, and the four trendy in-house restaurants and four bars serve mouth-watering Greek and Italian cuisine, all for a spectacular island getaway. Kindly note that a dress code (min. 3/4 trousers) apply for gentlemen in the evening.

Amazing views!
Fantastic views from the rooms of Kos Town and Turkey, wonderful sunsets (photos do not do it justice!). Bar staff very attentive and entertainment team great, especially Grace - very approachable and always happy to chat. A range of day time activities available that you aren’t forced to do, but always welcome to join in with. Food at the snack bar is a must - the chicken gyro is stunning! Restaurant food is OK, always can find something to eat, but is not always very hot and choice is limited. Rooms are quite dated and could do with some upgrades - carpet and deco not great. Pool area is very relaxed, no need to fight for sunbeds - which is a huge positive!
Some aspects great, some not so.
Some aspects of the hotel are brilliant others are a disappointment.
What's Great:
- The food has so much variety and is too a very good standard. Even for picky eaters I believe there's something for everyone and something to love.
- The service is excellent, with everyone very helpful and polite.
- The spa created a very relaxing atmosphere and Lily delivered a deep tissue massage helping to feel relaxed and recovered.
What was disappointing:
- The rooms are outdated and in some areas in disrepair. I can imagine the hotel as a whole was the height of luxury in the 80s and 90s but it needs to modernise in regards to furniture and interior design.
Some of the carpets are worn or torn and the rooms, whilst providing air con and comfortable beds, look very tired and out of touch and dated.
Beautiful Island, Disappointing Hotel
I would give this hotel 2 out of 5 stars.
The positives first: there is a snack bar that serves really tasty gyros, and the beds are comfortable, so we slept well.
Unfortunately, there were quite a few negatives. The food was often cold, there wasn’t much variety, and overall it was just average. It also felt like the hotel tried to charge extra for everything they possibly could. They advertise luxury sunbeds and a sky bar, but make sure you read the fine print because you have to pay extra to use them.
The same goes for the activities. Things like pool and table football all require an additional fee. I understand that some activities cost extra, but when we asked to exchange money for coins to use the games, the staff simply weren’t seem interested in helping.
The Wi-Fi was also disappointing. The connection was slow, and the coverage throughout the hotel was poor, making it unreliable to use.
One experience that really left a bad impression was seeing an injured bird near the pool bar. We pointed it out, but the staff looked at us as if we were overreacting and showed little concern. The bird remained there, visibly suffering, for around 10 minutes before I eventually walked away because I couldn’t bear to watch it any longer. A little compassion in a situation like that would have gone a long way.
Overall, we still had a nice holiday, mainly because the weather was great.
Four years ago, we stayed at Mitsis Ramira, and after this experience I can honestly say that it is absolutely worth paying the extra money to stay there instead.

Amazing stay!!! Everything was so so pleasant. The food was great everyday with variety. Grace from animation was the highlight of our trip. A very warm, welcoming girl. Will come back for sure!!!
