Gym mitsis ramira
Three days of Tai Chi with Ehab at the great open-air gym saved my vacation. It was incredibly relaxing, and I soaked up so much positive energy. Highly recommended.

A lovely hotel, but not quite the value we expected.
We stayed at the Mitsis Ramira for a week and overall had a lovely holiday. We normally stay at the Mitsis Laguna in Crete, so the fact the Ramira isn’t a ‘selection’ hotel became something of a running joke during our stay. The front of house staff were excellent. They were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Housekeeping were also very good. When my wife was unwell, we contacted reception and they arranged for someone to clean the bathroom for us. They also kindly arranged room service free of charge, which was a really thoughtful gesture. The hotel itself is lovely, with excellent grounds, a nice beach, and two very well-maintained pools. We liked the fact you could help yourself to towels either at the main pool or from reception. We spent most of our time at the quieter chess pool, which suited us perfectly. The rooms were comfortable, but did feel a little dated. We found the food to be of a good standard, although there wasn’t quite the same variety or choice as we’ve experienced at the Mitsis Laguna. The meat restaurant was particularly good and, in our opinion, served some of the best food we had during the stay. One point we did notice was the approach to hand sanitising in the main restaurant. At the Mitsis Laguna, staff directed guests to use the sanitiser before entering and the dispenser was automatic, so there was no need to touch anything. At the Ramira, we didn’t see staff directing guests to the sanitiser, and the dispenser required manual operation. We felt an automatic dispenser, particularly in a buffet restaurant, would be a worthwhile improvement and would avoid unnecessary contact with shared surfaces. Unfortunately, both my wife and I returned to the UK with unsettled stomachs. simply can’t say what caused it. It may have been something we ate, but equally we could have picked up a bug completely unrelated to the hotel. The bar service was a bit hit and miss. Some members of staff were exceptional RAJ / Carissa. One thing we did find slightly strange was the shortage of toilets around the resort. Some restaurants and busy areas seemed to have surprisingly few facilities for the number of guests they cater for. The entertainment was okay, and we also visited the creperie, although there was a bit of a queue when we went the chefs here were excellent. Overall, we had a good holiday and enjoyed our time at the Mitsis Ramira. However, at just over 1100 pounds per person for the week, we felt it didn’t quite represent the value for money we had expected. We’d give the hotel 4 out of 5

Disappointing pool experience - please read before booking
We are currently staying at Mitsis Ramira, and I very rarely leave reviews, but I wanted to share our experience in the hope that it helps other families make an informed decision.
We booked a family room with a private pool, expecting this to be one of the highlights of the holiday. Unfortunately, the pool is in almost complete shade throughout the day. This photo was taken at 14:15, when you would expect it to be at its warmest, and the water is absolutely freezing. In practice, the private pool is unusable for our family.
The main pool is advertised as heated, so we were particularly disappointed to find that it is also extremely cold. Reception told us that the heating is only switched on when the air temperature is below 26C. We even asked reception if the heaters could be turned on, but this was refused.
What is particularly frustrating is that on our first day, the main pool was heated and it was lovely. We, along with other guests, were able to spend the entire day in the pool and had a fantastic time. Unfortunately, it was not heated in the same way afterwards.
Our daughter has to wear a wetsuit and can only manage around five minutes before her lips start turning blue. At one point, we counted a maximum of just four people actually using the pool.
Unfortunately, our outdoor area was also unusable for two days due to a wasp infestation. We reported this twice before it was eventually dealt with. To be fair, the hotel did ultimately apply sealant to the area, which stopped the wasps coming out of their nest.
There are positives: the staff are genuinely excellent, and Xenia from the children's entertainment team has been particularly lovely.
Overall, though, we feel the hotel is misleadingly presented for families booking specifically for the pools, as neither our private pool nor the advertised heated main pool has been realistically usable for us.
For families considering booking, I would recommend checking the pool temperatures and heating arrangements directly with the hotel before booking.

Lovely Family Holiday☺️ We visited the Mitsis Ramira from 29/8-5/9, as a party of 5. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a drink of homemade lemonade and a cold towel. We were then taken to our rooms, which had to be changed due to being given a room with a garden view when we had paid for a pool view. The reception staff amended it instantly and we were changed rooms. The rooms were lovely and cool with the air con and a mini fridge that was restocked daily. The cleaners visited everyday and ensured the rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel is located on the beach front and has a private beach with sunbeds and a bar that serves food and drink. The entertainment is mixed, some good and some bad, but always had a mixture of songs for each generation. Ervin, the waiter in the main bar is exceptional and always ensured we were never left without a drink. On our final night he connected the tv to ensure we could watch the football match that was on. Food was basic but had a good variety, I would definitely recommend the speciality restaurants and the Italian breakfast. We would definitely visit again!
