Good hotel, however family focused.
Good hotel, but unfortunately not ideal for couples
There are definitely positive things to say about this hotel. Our check-in was friendly, welcoming and well organised, which gave us a good first impression. The staff are generally very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and housekeeping does an excellent job. The restaurant offers plenty of choice, although the food is more standard all-inclusive quality than something special.
Our main disappointment is the strong focus on families with children. The hotel is clearly designed around families, and as a couple travelling without children, we often felt that we were not really the target guests. There is an adults-only area, but it feels rather isolated and lacks atmosphere. As a couple, you can actually feel quite lonely there. We would have appreciated more attention to couples as well.
One person who really made a difference was Panos, the bartender in the adults-only section. He was extremely friendly, attentive and welcoming and made us feel comfortable. His service and personality genuinely helped make our holiday more enjoyable and relaxed. A big thank you to Panos!
The buffet was another issue. We regularly saw children taking food with their hands and putting it back, while parents did not always intervene. Of course, this is partly the responsibility of the parents, but we feel the hotel could do more to maintain hygiene and proper behaviour at the buffet.
The checkout experience was also disappointing. This was a big contrast to the friendly welcome we received. After a week at the hotel, nobody asked how our stay had been or whether we had enjoyed ourselves. The checkout felt very impersonal and transactional, leaving us with the feeling that once everything was settled, it was simply: here is your refund, now it is time to leave. This was actually one of the reasons we decided to write this review.
The late checkout policy also feels excessive, with a charge of up to €100 for staying until 18:00. Of course, it is optional, but it does not give the best impression of guest service.
Overall, a clean and well-maintained hotel with friendly staff, but in our opinion much more suitable for families than couples. Panos was a real highlight for us and made our stay considerably more enjoyable. If you are travelling as a couple without children, however, we would probably choose another hotel next time.

Perfect vacation at white olive hotel, kos Greece
Very clean, good location, the room is big and comfortable and nice and kind service. Perfect experience!!!
Beautiful Kos
Our second stay at the White Olive and definitely will return. Excellent value especially for families with lots of activities for the young ones. We just wanted a chill week this time and certainly had one at the adults only pool with Panos, absolutely great guy would made our holiday. Food was fantastic with plenty of variety. The rooms were clean and modern with no issues whatsoever. Just a special thanks again to Panos at the adults pool and the lovely lady who works the lobby bar in the evenings who unfortunately I didn’t get her name.

All the staff were really friendly and the hotel was clean and decent room size. The hotel was really accommodating on arrivals and departures. Our favourite person, Panos, at the adult bar was superb and kept my mum very happy with all the cocktails she was ordering. He should definitely get a pay rise 😂
Lovely family holiday at the White Olive
Just back from a week at the White Olive, 4 adults and 2 little ones of 4 and 1 and a half. We had a family suite which was incredibly spacious and a double room which was a good size. Bathroom was lovely and clean, no funky smells, and rooms were serviced daily. Pools were fab and we spent most of our time by the waterpark which the little ones loves. The beach is quite small but really nice to spend a bit of time on as a change from the pool area. There were plenty of loungers available beach and poolside. Pool bar served barbecue style food at lunchtime and cakes and pastries in the afternoon. Gelateria was only 1.50€ for an ice cream - worth paying for decent ice cream. Restaurant was very clean and food was presented beautifully. An amazing selection of food to suit all tastes every day. Staff were constantly clearing tables and cleaning up and worked incredibly hard, all with a smile on their face too! The little rc cars were a hit in the evening with the little ones at 10 euros for half an hour. The only bad points I can say are the music was far too loud and non-stop - one day 3 different speak systems playing which was rather overstimulating, the entertainment was rather late at 8.30 for little ones. We booked our taxi back to the airport through the hotel but weren't told it was cash only (no cards) so had to be taken to a cashpoint en route. Cost was 80€, but it was a very luxurious taxi and arrived promptly. All in all a lovely week, dont be put off by the bad reviews!
