Cyprotel Faliraki Hotel

Hotel is absolutely amazing. Food is great. Entertainment is great. The slides and pools are great. Also swim up bar !! I think this hotel should be 5 stars personally. We love it here. Alcoholic cocktails actually taste nice and don’t taste horrible like in most of my other all inclusive experiences. Meli from the animation team is an absolute angel!! She is so sweet, and absolutely hilarious. But she is also very helpful with queries about the hotel and the surrounding areas. We have loved speaking to her. There’s a reason she’s on the entertainment team! 100% will come here again.

Me and my best friend went for a catch up holiday before winter comes in and busy with work! We had the best time. Wide variety of food, we chose to walk into town and eat out in the evenings, this is only a 12 minute walk and enjoyable walk. The food in the hotel was good though. Could do with some more fresh fruit options. Varieties of drinks too. Rooms are pretty basic, but aircon is fabulous we actually turned ours down. Cleaners come slightly early. BIG SHOUT OUT TO MARYLN AND DIAGO WHO COMPLETELY MADE THIS HOLIDAY! maryln works so hard and his interactions with guests are amazing. He goes out his way to help you and really is so fantastic and made our holiday so special and always has a smile on his face! Diago made us chuckle and had fantastic character. It would be nice to see more of the entertainment team with this energy or smiling.. Local buses are easy to catch. We went to lindos and Rhodes town. Hotel in spot on location.

This hotel does not deserve all the 1 and 2 star reviews. Honestly, its really great for the money that you pay. We were here from 9th-16th September and have really had a brilliant holiday. The room is clean, and huge! There were only 2 of us but we had room 5101, with a huge balcony and 2 bedrooms. The king size bed is very comfy, lots of storage space and big mirrors for getting ready. Yes, the room isnt modern, but i really dont understand what people's problem is with this... its clean, tidy, theres 2 plug sockets, a desk, cold air con... what more do you need? I think its perfectly fine and you barely spend time in the room anyway. It did storm on one of our days here, so we did stay in the room until about 1pm but the bed is so comfy its so easy to nap. The shower is also powerful and warm.

The food is good, with lots of variety. You will not struggle to find something to eat, even if you are fussy. Breakfast is the same everyday with pancakes, fried eggs, bacon, sausages (Greek ones), crossiants plus loads more. A special addition to breakfast is the fresh honeycomb every morning.. that was very nice. Lunches are good also, with different things everyday like lasagne, pasta and sauces, chicken burgers, nuggets, chips, various meat dishes, salads etc. We loved the carbonara style pasta at lunch. Personally, dinners are probably the worst out of all the meals, but when I say worst, its still pretty decent. Some nights were better than others, but we did really enjoy the mac and cheese, beef stew, pork skewers, pizzas, all the cheeses and the bbq chicken. So, its really not bad but i feel like its less variety so in our personal opinion lunches had the best variety each day and dinner was abit samey but still nice. We went out a few times for meals in the evenings anyway, particular shout out to Nodo Burgers and Eat Greek... absolutely gorgeous food. The snack bar is open from 11am-4.30pm, serving samey things each day like wraps, chicken nuggets, chips and salads. They also do ice cream from 11am and doughnut balls 2pm-4.30pm... both nice to have.

In my opinion, what lets this hotel down a little bit is some minor issues. The animation team do work hard and are very friendly, however, the evening entertainment is just not great for us as a couple. It seems to be mainly aimed at children and families, which is fine, because obviously this hotel is mainly aimed at families anyway, but us as a couple did not really enjoy it. The animation team do most of the entertainment, so its hard to be good at everything if you get what im saying. Another issue, the cocktails at the pool bar are particularly awful. They are so sweet and syrupy, with very little alcohol in them. We drank throughout an entire day about 10 drinks and still didnt feel anything. I understand that obviously they need to ratio it slightly to keep everyone from being wasted, but the cocktails and drinks in general are just so sweet and undrinkable for us. We ended up going to the shop, getting a bottle of Smirnoff and drinking that in mocktails. I will say though, the top bar (above the restaurant) is great. Massive shout out to Reggie, he is an excellent bartender who actually makes proper cocktails which were actually lovley. So, just avoid the pool bar imo. They didnt tell us about this top rooftop bar at reception, so we only discovered it halfway through our holiday but we would have been there every night if we could have. Its open until midnight. Some other smaller issues you may encounter during your stay, the speaker is blown by the main pool and the music is quite loud all day, however, thats just a personal opinion that we preferred the quiet pool area. The DJ also cannot decide on what volume or song to play which is kind of annoying.

So, other than above, generally speaking its a good hotel overall with some small improvements which could be made to give a 5 star rating. The location is good, with a short 15min walk down to the centre of Faliraki (it is a hill though, so get used to lots of walking). The bus stop 18 takes you into Rhodes and is €2.50 each. 100% worth a visit to Old Town Rhodes. Faliraki town is also good, many bars and restaurants (as mentioned above, definately visit Eat Greek and Nodo Burgers). Sakiras Bakery is also a must visit. Incredible sandwiches, fresh juices, ice cream and sweet pastries at a very good price.

Like I said before, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff/glass and plate collectors are on it 24/7 and always cleaning up, they really do a good job at keeping the whole hotel and restaurant area clean. I also really liked that they calculate wasted food everyday to keep people from piling their plates up high and not eating it all, I think thats great and should be more common place. We didnt really have many queues for things, and even if we did they were only small and quickly went down.

Well done if you read this entire review, I know its long, but i just want to give you peace of mind if you are staying at this hotel that you will have a lovley holiday and do not worry, especially if you are a family with children. Thank you cyprotel 🥰
