Grecotel LUX ME Dama Dama

We are a family of 5 with 3 children aged 14,11 and 8. I will start will a slight gripe. We booked 2 premier family guest rooms which were in the main building. The pictures make this room look a million times better than it is. It is a very basic room that I would have expected to stay in on an 18-30s holiday 25 years ago. It is in no way superior and soured the start of the trip. It is in the main building and these rooms all need renovating as well as the hallways. It really wouldn’t take much work or investment to do this. I spoke to reception about my disappointment with the rooms and to their credit (Eliza) they took it seriously and moved us to the bungalows which were so much better. They were smaller sized but so much nicer. We were very appreciative of this change. This was the only hiccup. The restaurants were brilliant as were the bars. The beach bar is such a nice place to sit in the evening. The pools were great however there needs to more sunbeds as it back to the old brits abroad issue of scrabbling for sunbeds at 8-9 am. Apart from this we really really enjoyed staying here and would most definitely come back!

Our stay at Grecotel LUX ME Dama Dama was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd chosen somewhere special. The resort is simply gorgeous, beautifully maintained, and has everything a family could possibly need for an unforgettable holiday.

The food deserves special recognition. The quality is outstanding, and the variety of restaurants means you'll never get bored. The Italian restaurant was an absolute favourite and the beach bar has such a fantastic vibe that we found ourselves returning there every day for lunch. The drinks were excellent too, with plenty of choice for both adults and children. My son loved ordering his favourite mocktail, the Passion Sunrise, from the pool bar. The creperie was another huge hit, serving delicious fresh crepes, and the ice cream bar offered an incredible selection that kept everyone happy. Top tip try Banana Chocolate - a hidden gem.

If you're travelling with children, this hotel is hard to beat. The kids' club is excellent, and there are fantastic activities running throughout the day for all ages, with no pressure to join in but plenty of opportunities if you want to. In the evenings, there was always something happening, from family outdoor cinema nights complete with popcorn to live entertainment. A special shout out to The Passengers Group, their voices were absolutely incredible and they made several evenings truly memorable.

The hotel is also in a brilliant location. It's only around 20–30 minutes from Rhodes Old Town, which is absolutely worth visiting, and it's also conveniently close to the airport, making transfers quick and easy.

There are plenty of activities available on site too. The water sports are great fun, and we'd highly recommend the banana boat excursion, which takes you out to a beautiful bay where you can snorkel before heading back to the beach. We also arranged a private boat trip through the hotel with the help of Chrissi, whose service was exceptional. She organised everything perfectly, and it became one of the highlights of our holiday and a day our family will never forget.

One thing I'd recommend to future guests is to carefully consider your room choice. We stayed in both room types during our visit. The Premier Loft Rooms are beautiful, modern, spacious, and absolutely worth booking. In contrast, the two-bedroom rooms in the main building are much older, the air conditioning struggled to keep the rooms cool, and they don't reflect the same high standard as the rest of the resort.

The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely wonderful friendly, warm, and always happy to help. However, one person deserves a very special mention: Christina. She went above and beyond throughout our stay, always smiling, incredibly helpful, and genuinely caring. She made such a positive impact on our holiday that she now feels like a family friend. She is one of the nicest people we've ever had the pleasure of meeting and is a real credit to the hotel.

Even on departure day, the service continued to impress. Although we had to check out of our room at 11am, which still gave us plenty of time for breakfast and packing, we had a late evening flight. The hotel kindly provided us with a courtesy room to shower and get changed before heading to the airport, which made the final day so much more comfortable.

Overall, this was one of the best family holidays we've ever had. Between the exceptional food, beautiful surroundings, fantastic entertainment, excellent facilities, brilliant excursions, and outstanding staff, Grecotel LUX ME Dama Dama exceeded our expectations. We wouldn't hesitate to return, and if you're booking, my one piece of advice would be to choose a Premier Loft Room or Bungalow. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough. PS; The hotel has an affiliation with a traditional greek restaurant off site. You just pay the transfer fee. This was a highlight, you eat in a beautiful traditional village not too far away and the food is AMAZING. Plus have no bill at the end as it's included in your stay. It's INCREDIBLE and a must. the hotel will arrange it for you, it is very popular so book in advance.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel! Everything exceeded our expectations, from the beautiful surroundings to the immaculate cleanliness of our room.

What truly made our stay special, however, was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Chrisi, Despina, Raf, and Panagiota for their warmth, professionalism, and endless hospitality—they truly made us feel at home every single day.

We were also delighted to meet Marta from Slovakia, whose friendly attitude and helpful recommendations made our trip even more wonderful. It’s always a lovely touch to meet a fellow countrywoman when traveling abroad!
