Very good i like it i hope i will Can and visit again.
We visited as a family of three in July/august. The staff at this hotel were fantastic- always smiling and cheerful and ready to help. Christina who works at the pool bar during the day does not stop smiling and is extremely efficient! But all staff clearly worked very hard and were lead by a fabulous management team.
The pool area was well maintained but there didn’t seem to be enough sun loungers for everyone. Some bucket style chairs were available but this is something that could be improved.
I visited the gym, which was well air conditioned, and had running machines, cycling and stepper machines and some weights. I also visited the spa and had a nice back massage.
Entertainment team were great and entertainment was varied and inclusive.
Our room was a little cramped for three of us and the decor in the hotel corridors was a little tired but overall the hotel met our needs.
The food was fantastic, really tasty and lots of options. There was a strong focus on Greek options which I what you want when you visit Greece! But there was always alternatives available too. The restaurant staff were helpful, efficient and smiley.
Location wise, you are right on the beach, only a short walk or train ride to Ialysos and the hotel offers a bus service to Rhodes town. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the hotel.
In summary, I would recommend this hotel but may opt for a bigger room in the future.
The guards are telling that its 1 hour before they remove towels from empty sunbeds, but even 2 hour passes and they don’t remove them even though there are guests waiting to get sundbeds. We arrived 8:30 and all the best sunbeds were reserved by towels and no people was there in the pool. Now its 10:45 and still no people on the beds and the guards dont do anything about it. We got some badplaced sunbeds when we arrived 8:30, and even though i asked 10:30 if we could switch to the better positioned beds that was still only reserved by towels we were told no. Food is good and room is good, but pool policy not working good.. Don’t recommend.
Lovely family holiday – with a few things to be aware of
We had a lovely stay in Rhodes with our three sons, aged 9, 7 and 5. Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel, although there are a few things worth knowing if you’re travelling with children.
The hotel was lovely and clean, our room was always clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a 2 story room which was perfect for us as a family of 5 and had 2 bathrooms which was great. Both of our bathrooms were quite smelly and the floors get so wet when showering so be extra carful of little ones running around. The location was great too – just a short walk to plenty of shops and restaurants, which was really handy. We went out for dinner one night but went out for ice cream and cake or drinks lots of other nights. Mainly to get away from the 8:30-9pm kids entertainment 🤣 There is a beach a 2 minute walk from the hotel where we watched the sunset one evening which was stunning. It is a pebble beach so not ideal for spending the day there.
For our boys, there wasn’t a huge amount for them to do at the hotel. The volleyball was for over 16s and took up a fairly large section of the pool for an hour, which wasn’t ideal when you have younger children wanting to swim. Luckily, our boys made some friends and that kept them entertained. The kids club and kids entertainment was more aimed at children under 5. But, the evening entertainment was good, changed every evening.
The aqua aerobics was good fun! It was basically three lovely beautiful young women doing a dance routine at the top of the pool for everyone to follow, and although it wasn’t quite what we expected, we had a good laugh doing it.
The biggest downside for us was the sunbeds. There simply weren’t enough, and the dreaded 8am dash was honestly one of my least favourite parts of the holiday. On one morning, my 7-year-old and I were actually barged out of the way by two men who wanted the sunbeds they had their eye on. It was really unpleasant. Unfortunately, if you don’t get up early, you risk not getting a sunbed at all, which is something the hotel could definitely improve.
The food was good and there were always plenty of fresh options, but it did become quite repetitive and the food hall could get extremely busy. The children’s section wasn’t particularly impressive either – our 5-year-old basically lived on chips and pasta for the week!
My husband is coeliac and we were really impressed with how accommodating the hotel was with his gluten-free requirements. This made a big difference to us and gave us peace of mind. If you do need any dietary requirements, its best to email before your stay so they can prepare for you. Our son also needed dairy free and they had sorbet ice cream behind the bar so he didnt miss out which was lovely.
The snack bar and drinks bar could also have quite long queues at times, but the staff worked incredibly hard to get everyone served. Even when there was a wait, the service was friendly and the drinks were worth it!
One little tip – bring your own coffee sachets! The coffee wasn’t great at all. 😂
We got a taxi into Rhodes old town one afternoon and it was the highlight of our holiday, absolutely stunning. The hotel organised our taxi for us and it was all very easy.
The meal in the 'restaurant' was a bit odd. You have to pre-order your mains but the starter and dessert was just given and our boys didn't like any of it. Not really a typical restaurant experience but it was nice to be out of the buffet for sure
The shop is site is really reasonable and the ladies who work in there are so lovely and friendly.
Despite the few negatives, we genuinely had a lovely holiday and made some great family memories. The friendly staff, cleanliness and location were all big positives, and overall we really enjoyed our stay in Rhodes. ❤️
Wow! What a wonderful holiday at Atlantica Princess!
It truly was fantastic, and there really aren’t many faults at all.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely reception staff, including David, who quickly checked us in. He informed us that we had been given a room upgrade, which was wonderful. We ended up in one of the family rooms overlooking the pool. It was spacious enough for the three of us, with plenty of space and storage. Our 7-year-old loved staying on the top bunk!
Our room was cleaned daily and always to a very high standard. We had fresh towels every day, and the bed linen was changed regularly. The only minor negative about the room was the bathroom. The bath/shower is on the smaller side, and the lighting in the bathroom is a little dim. Other than that, the room was fantastic.
What really makes this place special is the staff. They are wonderful and so attentive to everyone's needs. We have to give a special mention to the following: Christina and Barbara, who work in the pool bar during the day. Natasha, one of the waitresses. Alexandros, the maître d'. Nikos, one of the lunchtime waiters, who also served drinks in the evening. These are the staff members who really stood out to us. They made us feel so welcome and were always happy, friendly and positive. We really appreciated their excellent service.
The entertainment team are fantastic. They work incredibly hard to keep guests happy and entertained, and they provide a great programme of activities and evening entertainment. We have to give a very special mention to Mo. Mo really made our son's holiday with the daily football sessions. He was fantastic with the kids and genuinely made our 7-year-old's holiday a special one.
The food in the buffet was excellent. There was a really broad range of food, including some fantastic authentic Greek dishes. Our son could always find something to eat (and he can be a little fussy!). It was also great to have the different themed nights.
The atmosphere at the hotel is fantastic. It is very friendly and particularly well suited to families. Our son made a whole range of friends during our trip, which was lovely. The whole place is exceptionally clean.
The village of Ialyssos is great. There are a few restaurants which looked very inviting, as well as some local souvenir shops. We also did the land train around the village, which was great fun.
The beach is just a stone's throw away and, although it is pebbly, we still really enjoyed it.
We went on a trip to Lindos organised through a tour operator, which was wonderful. However, a must-do is a trip to Rhodes Old Town. The hotel provides a shuttle bus for a small fee, and it really is an excellent way to visit. I would highly recommend it.
Honestly, this is a wonderful place to visit. We always holiday during the summer holidays, so we expect a little bit of 'sunbed wars', but it is nowhere near as bad as some people make out. It really isn't that bad at all. You can always get a sunbed — maybe just not in the exact spot you want!
I say live a little and stop being so precious about the sunbeds! 😂
I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody and would happily return!
