The hotel is located in the magnificent and picturesque village of Kiotari, in the southeast side of Rhodes Island. The touristic centre of this small village is about 1.5 km away while the nearest bus station is only about 50 metres away. The beach is around 100 m from the property. Guests may also be interested in visiting Lindos village, some 15 km away, or the Old Town of Rhodes, which is around 65 km away. Rhodes International Airport is some 60 km from the hotel.

We have just returned from a week’s holiday at the Blue Bay Hotel Resort (please note: this is NOT the Blue Bay Miraluna, which is in the same resort and seems to be the only reference on TripAdvisor for this massive complex). We travelled as a family of six (four adults and two children) and booked two superior sea-view rooms, one of which was a family room. The Rooms Our holiday started on a bad note. Upon arrival, the family room was dirty, with hair in the shower, a filthy patio window, and ants all over the balcony. It was also very small for a family room. The second room was slightly cleaner, but the air conditioning was broken and leaking water all over the floor. You would think basic maintenance checks would be done before guests arrive. To make matters worse, one room only had a single curtain covering a huge window, letting in a massive amount of daylight. The air con was fixed two hours later. For the dirty family room, we were initially told we couldn't get a replacement until the following day, but after complaining to management, they managed to find us an alternative room that evening. Location & Mobility Warnings We had requested a "high floor and a quiet room," but we weren't expecting to be up in the gods. The layout requires climbing stairs after stairs. The lift was useless—it didn't go to the ground floor, skipped floors entirely, and was occasionally broken. This meant we had to carry two kids' buggies up and down three flights of stairs. After walking up the very steep hills from the pirate pool, facing those stairs was no joke. If you have mobility issues or young children, please be aware that this hotel has steep hills and steps everywhere with very limited handrails. Food & Drink The drinks were very poor; five "included" cocktails all tasted vile. None of the staple All-Inclusive drinks (like Sex on the Beach or Tequila Sunrise) are included—you have to pay extra for them. The bar service was shocking, often with only one person serving in the evening, leading to 20–30 minute queues. However, I do want to give a special call-out to Stavros at the Pirate Bar, who was super friendly, hard-working, and a lovely guy. As for the food, thank goodness the lunchtime pizza was good, because the evening meals were either freezing cold (like the hot dogs and chilli) or just slop. If you arrive late, expect huge queues. Do not let them force you into the very run-down cafeteria area; we ate there on day one and it was so bad I would have preferred eating off my lap on a sunbed. There is also no real choice for kids—the nuggets looked disgusting and didn't resemble chicken at all. The Beach Bar is in a lovely setting, but you have to pay for anything other than soft drinks. The staff there also work in the main hotel, so it clearly belongs to the resort, making the extra charges very frustrating. Facilities & Service The pirate ship no longer has slides as shown in the promotional pictures, though the kids still loved it and the area is a nice place to sit. However, there are so many broken sunbeds that are never replaced, which gives the impression that the hotel just doesn't want to spend money on maintenance. Customer service at reception was rude. Every time we spoke to them, they would cut us off mid-conversation to answer the ringing telephone. Finally, the hotel seems to cater mostly to non-English guests, as it was predominantly German and Russian while we were there. Would we go back? Not a chance!
Proffesional and relaxing treatment by Krisa and Poolo.
We had a nice stay overall, but there were definitely some things that could have been better.
The biggest disappointment for us was the all-inclusive drinks. The choice of cocktails was quite limited, and many well-known cocktails were not included and had to be paid for separately. We expected a little more from the all-inclusive package.
We also had a couple of issues during our stay. One of the excursions we had planned was not well organized, so unfortunately we couldn't take part in it. Our first room wasn't really what we expected either. We had a double bed and a sofa bed, but once the sofa bed was opened, it was very uncomfortable because it was uneven. Luckily, after three days, the hotel changed our room and gave us a much better one, which we really appreciated.
Apart from these things, we enjoyed the food and thought the restaurant was very well organized. Everything was clean, orderly and well managed.
But the real highlight of our stay was definitely the animation team! A huge thank you to the whole team, and especially to Xavier, Giovanni and Weronika, who made our days so much more fun and enjoyable. They were always friendly, energetic and ready to make us laugh.
And a special mention for Movie Night — it was absolutely brilliant and so much fun! Definitely one of the best moments of our holiday.
So, while there are definitely a few areas that could be improved, we still had a good time and left with some great memories.
Thank you again to the entire animation team, especially Xavier, Giovanni and Weronika, for making our holiday more enjoyable!

P.S. Giovanni is seriously good at selling those T-shirts, haha.
Hotel is perfectly place next to the beach. All in inclusive is not always inclusive, but all in all a fantastic place with friendly staff. Went for a spa treatment, where Krisa did a fantastic job, getting me even more relaxed.
My friend and I spent 2 days at Miraluna and we had the best time. First of all, our room was very clean and cozy, with a pool view and the beach was 1 minute walking. We didn’t stop eating, the food was very tasty and there were so many options. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Thank you so much!
