Labranda Kiotari Miraluna Resort

We’ve just come back from a 10-night stay and overall had a lovely holiday. There were definitely some things we loved and a few things that could be improved, but the staff in particular really made our stay special.

🍽️ Food – 5/10

Unfortunately, the food was probably the biggest disappointment for us. Everything seemed so salty! The meat dishes also seemed to have very similar flavours, and after being served the grey chicken nuggets 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was put off trying much of the meat for the rest of the holiday!

I also tried some feta and honestly thought I had put a block of salt in my mouth 😂.

That said, there was a really good selection of salads, and we enjoyed the pasta and sauces. So although we struggled with some of the main dishes, there were still things we could find and enjoy.

🏊‍♀️ Room – 9/10

The room was SO nice! We had a swim-up room and absolutely loved it. Having our own pool area was probably one of our favourite parts of the holiday and made the room feel really special.

I had read some reviews saying that the swim-up pools were dirty, so I was slightly worried before we arrived, but we didn’t experience this at all. There was a man coming every morning to clean the pool, and ours was lovely throughout our stay.

📍 Location – 7/10

The hotel is quite remote, so I’d say it’s perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to relax, switch off and chill rather than somewhere with lots going on immediately outside the hotel.

We did get the bus to Lindos for a day trip, which was really easy. It was only €3 each and took around half an hour, so definitely worth doing if you want to get out and explore.

The beaches around the area are very pebbly, though, so personally I would have preferred a sandy beach.

🍹 Drinks – 7/10

The all-inclusive drinks selection is quite limited, but you can still ask for a spirit with lemonade or Coke etc., and we found the drinks perfectly nice.

The bartenders definitely weren’t stingy either 😂 — some of the drinks were actually quite strong!

We also tried a few of the cocktails that you pay extra for and they were delicious. Definitely worth trying them during happy hour, with the times posted near the bar.

❤️ Staff – 10/10

The staff were honestly one of the best things about the hotel. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful.

A special mention has to go to Athena-Georgia at the bar, who genuinely made our stay! She was absolutely lovely and was always checking that we were okay, making sure we had snacks and generally looking after us. She really went above and beyond and made us feel so welcome.

The reception staff, food hall staff and the girls in the spa were also incredibly friendly and attentive.

Overall

Despite our issues with the food, we had a really lovely holiday and would definitely remember the hotel for the beautiful swim-up room and, most importantly, the amazing staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome and helped make our 10-day stay really enjoyable.

Would I recommend it? If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday where you can spend your days by the pool and don’t mind being somewhere quite remote, I think it’s a great option. Just be prepared for the food to be a bit hit and miss depending on your taste! 😅

I read a mix of good and bad reviews before booking this hotel and sadly our experience aligned with the bad ones. Staff were generally rude, unaccommodating and dismissive. The food in the main restaurant is awful. We’ve stayed at many all inclusive all over the world some bigger than this one and never had such a bad experience with the food. We are not fussy eaters either.

I will say our room was incredibly clean in block 400 and cleaning staff were friendly. The staff in the aqua bar and restaurant were also incredible, kind and friendly. They all deserve a raise. Food was much better there too so having a better lunch really saved the food on this trip. We ate out on multiple occasions in the evening and at lunch. Not what you want from an all inclusive.

One evening we ordered a taxi to a restaurant in Kiotari through the hotel - this was much more expensive than a taxi we got from Lindos the next day and the trip was only 10 minutes down the road. Get a local taxi number online if you need a taxi, it will be cheaper.

Our first room had no light in the second half of it, the shower was broken and not as clean as the room we ended up in. We are grateful they could accommodate a change however it was not an easy request. This room was on block 700.

We are glad we did not pay full price for this hotel as it really is not worth it. It’s a solid 3 star experience if that and I would not recommend. Many signs of wear - renovation needed.
