- Atrium Platinum Luxury Resort

This modern, luxurious resort is located in Ixia on the island of Rhodes, 200 metres from the pebble beach and turquoise water of the Mediterranean Sea. The more active tourists can participate in a wide range of water sports like windsurfing, kite surfing and diving, while those who believe ‘vacation' is synonymous with ‘rest' can simply soak up the sun on the beach or by the outdoor pool. Within the premises, there are other entertainment options as well, like tennis and squash courts. The contemporary elegantly decorated rooms feature rich, warm tones and bright accents, and provide the perfect setting for relaxation after a day in the sun. In the evening, the on-site restaurants serves an international buffet or Greek, Oriental, and Italian specialties.
We recently stayed at Atrium Platinum as part of an "Indulgent Escapes" holiday. Given the marketing and 5-star rating, we expected to be immediately impressed, but the overall look and feel of the hotel felt dated and slightly underwhelming.
The biggest positives were undoubtedly the staff, who were exceptional throughout our stay. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service. The branded drinks available on the all-inclusive package were also a real step above what many other resorts offer.
The à la carte restaurants served food of a very good standard, with plenty of choice and excellent service. However, the buffet restaurant was disappointing and did not match the quality found elsewhere in the hotel. Food often lacked variety and consistency, which was surprising for a property marketed as a luxury resort.
The hotel's top-floor gourmet dining venues offer high-quality food and beautifully presented dishes. Unfortunately, the ambience didn't reflect the premium dining experience being offered. The outdated décor and surroundings lacked the sense of occasion and sophistication you would expect from a specialist fine-dining setting.
The reception area was perhaps the most surprising aspect of the hotel. As the heart of any hotel, it creates the first and lasting impression for guests, yet it feels tired and in need of significant refurbishment. For a property positioned as a luxury 5-star resort, the reception does not deliver the wow factor many guests would expect on arrival.
The rooms themselves were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained, which was certainly a positive. However, the bathrooms felt noticeably dated and did not meet our expectations for a hotel marketed as a 5-star luxury resort. The shower-over-bath setup felt particularly outdated, especially when many modern 4-star hotels now offer contemporary walk-in rainfall showers as standard. While functional, the bathrooms were another area where the hotel's age showed and where investment would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.
Overall, I would rate Atrium Platinum as a good 4-star hotel rather than a genuine 5-star luxury resort. Tour operators such as Jet2 and TUI may wish to reconsider the rating they assign, as guest expectations are set extremely high. The hotel has many strengths, particularly its staff, premium drinks offering, and à la carte dining, but it would greatly benefit from investment in modernising its interiors and communal areas.
There is certainly a lot of potential here, and with a substantial refurbishment Atrium Platinum could genuinely become the luxury destination it aspires to be. Until then, it's a good hotel with excellent service, but not quite the indulgent 5-star experience we were expecting and unfortunately, we wouldn’t return.
Great location.
The staff was so gracious and helpful esp. Despina, Elsa and Anna at the front desk.
Also Michalis Magakafas the front desk manager.
The room was amazing, and quiet.
The hotel really spoiled us and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.
I highly recommend it to everyone.
My wife and I stayed at this magnificent hotel for 8 days (10-17/9) and everything was absolutely splendid. It's our 6-th vacation in this hotel for the past 10 years, so we knew exactly what to expect and it was even much better. Starting with the beautiful spacious suite facing pool and sea with great view that comes with it. The room was equipped with jacuzzi, king-size bed, minibar and a coffee machine. The breakfast and dinner were incredible - every day a different theme - Greek, Italian, Mediterranean, seafood and many other. A great variety of fish and meat, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, pastries, pizzas and everything else your heart desires. The main restaurant (as well as the reception) is located at the top 8 floor, so the view of the sea and sunsets (at dinner time) are simply amazing. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Mr. Magafas (the reception senior manager) played an extremely important role in our overall experience and pleasure. Many special thanks from the bottom of our hearts go to Ms. Anna - the reception senior assistant - for being there for us right from the start (even prior to our arrival) and during the whole stay until the very last moment with great help and understanding every time we needed it and eventually making our vacation absolutely perfect. Mr. Savvas (the maitre) who welcomed us warmly at each and every breakfast and dinner and also chatted with us about our family and asked repeatedly how more he can help to make our dinning experience even more delightful. Ms. Caterina (the main dining room hostess) was as always extremely pleasant and helpful and always welcomed us with her beautiful and luminous smile. Mr. Michalis and Mr. Rotis - the captains, Sindy, Lina, Giouli, Catina, Stamatis, Marina, Agglios and many others who did an outstanding job and went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely brilliant and unforgettable. And last but in no way least - we wish to thank 3 very hardworking ladies (Ms. Klaudia, Ms. Suzana and Ms. Marsila) for keeping our room so clean and neat, for refreshing our towels every morning and every evening and for showing us love and attention - you are simply the best 👏👏👏 So after all the above well deserved thanks - we would like to thank Mr. Antonis Rodis - the hotel General Manager for having us again and again and for all the nice, helpful and highly professional staff that runs the hotel and of course - see you all next year 🤞🤞
This was our first time in Rhodes and we definitely made the right decision coming to this hotel. The whole experience was outstanding from start to finish. The service from the minute you walk through the door is faultless and all with a smile. We went B&B good choice at buffet each day. We ate at the à la carte restaurants 4 times - food and service fantastic would recommend. Always plenty of sun loungers and no rushing to get one. We enjoyed a couple of days on the beach where you have to pay for loungers - and take water shoes as stony. Would recommend Chocolate and Vanilla cafe opposite beach for a nice lunch -great value and friendly service. We have booked to go to Atrium Palace next year as we were so impressed with this hotel. I would recommend to everybody!!
Excellent as usual this was our 7th stay at the Atrium and it won't be our last . From the no reserve sunbed policy to the Excellent staff that have now become friends it is our greek home from home . Our room is spotless from our arrival to our departure the housekeeping staff ♥️ need a massive mention as they really are superb friendly and so hardworking I hope they get the appreciation they deserve from the management. On reception Else, Anna , Maria and of course Klaudio and George are the best the welcome we receive each year is like meeting friend and there is also a young lady who used to be a greeter in the restaurant I am so sorry I didn't get her name as she is just lovely her smile would cheer up even a cloudy greek day .The restaurants food is more than 5* with Michalis , Stavos and all the team being one of our main reasons we return we really look forward to seeing them and hearing about there family's etc our holiday wouldn't be the same without them. The evening entertainment is good but you must have a cocktail 🍸 made by Julian he is just a pure gentleman and as we have known him since our first visit our stay just wouldn't be the same without him . Now last but not least Feidra she really is the nicest person and the no reserve sunbed policy that she keeps is excellent it is truly relaxing knowing that you have no 6am sunbed dash and it makes it fair for everyone, I know that not all guest like this policy but I am so glad that the hotel has it and that Feidra (even though some people are rude to her about it and I have heard people be very unkind to her ) still adheres to it . So all in all this hotel is our Greek get away and I will be booking to return again next June see you then 🥰🥰🥰
