Mitsis La Vita, great hotel - great location
Great location, fantastic sunsets a bonus. So much to see and do within a comfortable walking distance. A 20 minute walk to the Old Town though cobbled streets might pose a problem for people with mobility issues.
The hotel was excellent, always clean and tidy. Food - delicious and plentiful, something to suit everyone's appetite, even pancakes served with a "good morning" and a friendly smile :).
Our room was clean and comfortable with a TV, fridge, hairdryer, free wifi also a small safe (free of charge) and several plug points. A small but adequate balcony.
The staff were always very friendly, respectful and helpful - a credit to Mitsis La Vita hotel.
I was admitted to hospital for 3 days with a severe asthma attack, then confined to the hotel for a further 5 days to recover till the doctor granted my 'Fit to Fly' certificate. A very traumatic experience. Therefore a special "thank you" to Malin and Despina at reception, their assistance was very much appreciated, by my husband and myself, and certainly aided my recovery. Another special "thank you" goes to the lovely Albina. She kept our room spotless, ensured we had enough towels, tea and coffee. And, on my return from the hospital she popped in daily - just to see how we were. This wasn't necessary, but a lovely warm-hearted gesture. Jenny, the Jet2 representative, was brilliant and guided us every step of the way. It was wonderful to have so many generous and caring people around at a very stressful time.
Sadly, the southerly winds carrying fine sand and dust from the Sahara Dessert is detrimental to my health and I can never revisit this beautiful Island.
People with breathing issues - please be aware and be prepared.
Rhodes getaway
Really lovely stay, super central location, the breakfast was perfect to set you up for the day. All the staff have been so friendly, reception ladies Malin and Despina and the cleaner on our floor Elvira especially. Would recommend for a Rhodes getaway!🇬🇷☀️
Mistis Rhodes!
We had a great time at Mitsis, everybody was exceptionally friendly. The hotel breakfast was great, loads of choice. You’re literally about 30 seconds walk from the beach where you have private beds to lie on. A great experience all round.
Despina and Malin on reception were great and Elvira our maid was hilarious! We had many funny interactions with her and she made the stay all the more memorable.
Vacation in September 2026
I had a wonderful week at Mitsis La Vita Beach Hotel in September, and I truly enjoyed my stay.
The location is absolutely fantastic — right by the beautiful Aegean Sea, with a wide pebble beach and a gentle entrance into the water. It is the perfect place if you want to combine a relaxing beach holiday with exploring Rhodes.
One of the biggest advantages of the hotel is its location. Rhodes Town, the Old Town and the port are all just about a 10-minute walk away. The port is a great starting point for boat trips to nearby islands, the Turkish coast and various sea cruises. I took one of these cruises during my stay and absolutely loved it!
There are also plenty of charming restaurants and cosy cafés around the hotel, making the area lively and enjoyable, while still being very convenient.
The hotel itself is comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and cosy, and the staff are friendly, attentive and always ready to help. Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection of food. The only little thing I would suggest improving is the presentation and service of the coffee.
When I arrived, the hotel was completely full. Nevertheless, I asked if an upgrade might be possible, and to my great surprise and delight, I received one the very next day! I was genuinely happy about it and really appreciated the personal attention.

Overall, I had a lovely experience at Mitsis La Vita Beach Hotel. Great location, comfortable rooms, friendly people and the sea right on your doorstep — what more could you ask for? I would happily come back and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Rhodes.
