Kamari Beach Hotel

We have just spent one night in the Kamari Beach Hotel and decided to leave the hotel as the room we were allocated was small, dark and claustrophobic, our outside area was overlooked and anyone passing by could see straight into our room, for privacy we had to keep our curtains closed! The staff did try their hardest to find us another room but apart from being a bit more private the new room was still dark and poky and the bed was not even a double size more like a three quarter! We booked this package via an agent with Jet 2 who have pictures on their website of rooms that look lovely bright and spacious but ours definitely wasn’t one of those, so don’t be deceived by their advertising as after reading lots of reviews about this hotel I imagine that only a few fit the description. Hotel staff were very helpful but this didn’t make up for the terrible rooms.

We stayed at Kamari Beach Hotel as part of a seven-night package holiday and were disappointed by the overall value.

Breakfast was very limited and poor quality, with inadequate gluten-free options for one of us. We had paid extra for bed and breakfast but often chose to eat elsewhere. Our room was smaller than expected from the photographs and the king-size bed was two singles pushed together. We also found the late-checkout room to be disappointing.

There were positives: friendly staff, good location, enjoyable cocktails and good beach access.

The wastewater smell we noticed in the evenings appeared to affect Kamari generally, rather than just the hotel.

Overall, we wouldn't choose this hotel again and would recommend researching the breakfast and room details carefully before booking.
