Location Carpe Diem Santorini is located on the slope of the hill of mirthful Pyrgos, one of the most picturesque villages on Santorini. Pyrgos' main square is approximately 500 meters away, following the village's narrow alleyways.
The hotel is reachable by car and is just 5 km away from Santorini International Airport (JTR) and 6 km from Athinios Port. Carpe Diem overlooks Fira Town, the capital of Santorini, as well as, the entire northern side of the island, including the Caldera and the volcano.
Accommodation All Suites are exclusive, spacious, each with its own private Plunge Pool bouncing, panoramic views to the northern part of Santorini and the Aegean archipelago. All Suites are complemented with fine bath amenities, fluffy bathrobes, slippers, feather pillows and duvets. Other suite amenities include air-conditioning; satellite TV, individual DVD player, direct dial phone, free Wi-Fi access to the Internet, in-room safe deposit boxes, mini bar, a NESPRESSO coffee machine and a hairdryer.

Truly relaxing break.
We stayed at Carpe Diem in the signature suite the first two weeks of September. The environment is quiet and cosy. The room was private and has a wonderful view of Fira, Oia and the sea. Mary at breakfast is wonderful providing a great service where nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast menu rotates on a 5 day basis and offers a great selection of fruit, yoghurt, eggs, cake, bread / toast etc. Chris and Arestis who work reception are also friendly and were happy to help with any of our requests. The rooms are clean and the pools are cleaned daily. We enjoyed the area with lots of good quality local restaurants. The hotel is based at the bottom of a very steep hill so wouldn't be suitable for anyone with access issues but its worth it if you can manage the hill. We hired a car and found that the island was easy to navigate. Fira is just a 15 minute drive and Oia around 20 minutes. Both are worth a visit but go before 10am to avoid the crowds. Thank you Carpe Diem for helping us to have a truly relaxing break.
Good, but not a 5 star experience
We went to Carpe Diem in Santorini for a relaxing break and that's exactly what we got. The hotel is situated approximately a 15 minute walk outside the village of Pyrgos in the middle of Santorini. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, with very friendly staff and excellent maid service. Although there's an infinity pool, it's largely redundant due to there being no seating and only 2 sunbeds nearby. Each room has its own terrace which a whirlpool or plunge pool. The breakfasts were very nice, with a decent selection of food.
The hotel is listed as 5 star, I wouldn't go this far as there's virtually no food available after 4pm, the shower had paint peeling off and the 'road' to and from the hotel is quite steep and unlit at night, some sort of transport in and out of the village would have been nice.
Pyrgos is very nice with a good selection of bars and restaurants that weren't too expensive, we'd definitely return to Pyrgos, but perhaps not Carpe Diem as the walk in and out of the village was too much.

Summer Holiday
The hotel is beautiful. Immaculate!! The vibe is so chilled and all staff are so friendly and helpful. Have to say a special thank you to Mary for serving our breakfast every morning and our little morning chats🤗 The breakfast by the way is exceptional!! We will definitely return at some point. Thank you Carpe Diem we had a wonderful holiday Xx

A relaxing stay in Pyrgos Santorini
I enjoyed my stay at Carpe Diem Santorini. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and welcoming. The staff are really good - friendly, helpful & attentive. A very relaxing place.
Ambience
Really relaxing ambient atmosphere. The junior suite was exquisite; housekeeping came discreetly whilst I was at breakfast. I hadn't noticed the umbrella shade was broken however, a member of staff apologised and fixed it immediately. A healthy, delicious breakfast was served and varied daily. Each room has it's own whirlpool and you are concealed from your neighbours. The view is out of this world and to see the sunset at the end of the day from my room is something I will not forget. The staff are absolutely fantastic and cater to your needs.
