This is an environmentally-friendly hotel that cares greatly about sustainable growth that has a unique approach to hospitality located in Agios Sostis in Laganas Bay. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the 9 km sandy beach, one of the longest in the Mediterranean, and perfect for exploring the rest of Zakynthos. The place is also conveniently located for the town shopping centre (500 m.) and just 6 km from the airport.
The friendly staff will help guests to hire bicycles or rent a car to see the protected nesting turtles and visit the beautiful landscapes of this, the 3rd largest Ionian island. Otherwise visitors can just sit and relax by the pool and enjoy cold drinks and snacks. A home-made breakfast is provided with freshly-baked bread and cakes, free-range eggs, oranges and plenty of olive oil. Guest's special events are celebrated with a free bottle of wine.

Relaxing holiday with great food and amazing staff
We had an amazing holiday, relaxing and peaceful in our swim up room, which was only 25 steps to the bar through the garden. The food was wonderful and varied daily with a large selection, always with a chef “show cooking”. The owner, Mr Spiros was always sat in the reception area smiling and greeting his guests like family and helpful with any questions we had, he advised us of the best winery to visit (which was a fantastic day out), and he has a great hardworking team who went above and beyond to make our holiday special. There were daytime activities, we participated in Greek cooking which was fun and enjoyed the evening entertainment around the pool. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing hotel and I can’t wait to return for another visit.

We didn't want to go home!
From the moment we arrived we felt the warmth and welcome of the Hotel. The Reception staff greeted uson arrival, we were given a welcome drink and shown around so we could familiarise ourselves with the hotel.
We were celebrating our anniversary during our stay so treated ourselves to a swim up room, which we loved - we spent many an hour in the pool and relaxing on the sun beds. We also booked an a la carte meal at Eucalyptos to celebrate and this meal was sensationally good.
The all inclusive food was very varied and tasty. The food was always fresh and differed each day, there was always a choice of meats/vegetarian options and a huge selection of salads. My husband is Gluten Free (intolerance) and was generally well catered for. The only repetitive food was desert which was a little limited - mainly a cake or ice cream, but otherwise he had a good choice of foods. If you are coeliac though, I would discuss with the hotel before booking, because there was only one toaster etc, so contamination could be possible. My husband didn't have any tummy trouble at all for the whole week though.
We only used the pool a couple times because we had the swim up pool but it was a lovely pool with comfortable loungers around the edge. There was a bar beside the pool which was convenient and there were snacks but we didn't have any as we were well fed at meal times! Beside the pool was the olive tree area, which we really enjoyed sitting in a couple of the afternoons, and at night it was beautifully lit up.
The jewel in the Castelli crown though are the staff. From the reception staff, to the housekeeping staff, the catering and entertainment staff to Mr Spiros himself (who is always around to greet guests and chat), every single person we came into contact with were smiley, friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
A lovely touch was a bottle of wine, delivered to our room, on our 25th Anniversary from the Hotel.
We were sad to leave after a fantastic week.
GEM of a hotel with SUPERB FAMILY RUN Hotel
Wow. Amazing hotel , a short stroll to beach , clubs and bars , great Italien restaurant opposite hotel get card from reception and it gives you 10% off bill . Hotel is family run , friendly and Spiros ( owner , elderly gentleman)is always on hand to greet you and help you with anything .Rooms are big, spotlessly clean we had a swim up in sun from 8am till 330 pm then a few steps into garden for more sun . Food excellent, wide range offered , drinks very good ( only 2 per person but not a problem) .A la carte menu offered 1 visit per 7 day stay, served at poolside very very nice . Would definitely return .. 2 weeks wasn’t long enough .A FANTASTIC stay in all areas 10/10. If you go you will definitely not be disappointed!!! Ps . No sunbed issues either

Nice enough stay for Sep sun
Pleasant enough trip for a last minute getaway. Swim up room, but would advise a price difference for the back ones as they get no sun from 1pm. Great to have that extra space and to relax on your rear deck in the evening. The exercise lady was so lovely and she tried to motivate people, but rarely had any takers for her varied classes. Would suggest they try offering more unique things on the activity schedule as there is mostly couples studying here. Salsa classes, wine making, wine tasting, olive picking, cooking, games nights, bingo etc. their most popular night is the abba night but the rest needs scrapping and starting again. It’s great that evening entertainment is offered but it really needs bringing into this decade. Reception staff were fabulous and friendly but I’d check where your security guard disappears to on the evening. On 2 occasions we had to climb the fence to get in! It’s not the hotels fault but a path into town would be great just so you have all of your limbs when you get home 😆

Amazing honeymoon!
We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Castelli Hotel and honestly couldn’t fault it.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by the owner and all of the staff.
Throughout our whole stay, nothing was ever too much trouble and everyone was so friendly and helpful.
The food was brilliant. There was a great selection every day, with plenty of fresh choices and the options changed daily so there was always something different to try. We were really impressed with both the quality and variety.
Our room was lovely and having our own walk-out pool made it even more special. The room was cleaned every day and everything throughout the hotel was kept really clean and well looked after.
The location is great too, close enough to everything you need while still being a really relaxing place to stay.
What really makes Castelli Hotel special though is the people. The owner and staff genuinely care about their guests and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay.
We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend Castelli Hotel. We’d definitely return!
