- Mimoza Beach Hotel

At Argassi Beach, just 5 km's from the modern capital of Zakynthos island, and with a privileged position by the beach overlooking the blue Ionian Sea, lies 3 stars Mimoza Beach Hotel. With a history of nearly half a century , Mimoza Beach can offer the modern traveller the perfect scenery to relax accompanied with the traditional Greek hospitality and ideal natural beauty. At the same time and within short distance our guests find the lively and busy capital, Zakynthos Town with commercial shops and bars.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
2nd trip to the mimoza beach hotel and stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows which are lovely and just a few steps from the sea, the overall atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxed. Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed, fridge in the room and no shortage of sunbeds / shady areas. The breakfast is very good and large selection of both cold and cooked items, the fresh OJ is lovely too. Staff are all very helpful and location is just off the main strip so lots of shops/restaurants nearby.
There is a pool bar but we found selection not brilliant and short opening hours the hotel does not serve food in the evenings due to there being so many restaurants in the vicinity.
We booked both our trips via booking.com and rooms were really good value inc breakfast. I believe that the hotel is currently used by a major UK tour operator and a couple of European tour operators. When inquiring about returning next year we were advised that a major UK tour operator has taken the entire allocation of bungalows for 2027 which is disappointing as takes away option of stays for independent travelers not wanting the 'package deal'.
having a fantastic stay at the mimoza staff are absolutely wonderful especially Christina who works on a morning serving the breakfast she is so happy and friendly brings sunshine to the day she’s one of the many delightful things at the mimoza kind regards sharon
We spent a wonderful week at the Mimoza Beach Hotel in Argassi, Zante. We stayed in a bungalow, with a pool and sea view, which was just lovely. It was quite small, but this was fine for the amount of time we actually spent in there, fresh and modern with a good sized shower. It was lovely to sit on the terrace overlooking the sea, either to get a bit of shade in the middle of the day, or to sit and have a drink in the evening. Excellent air conditioning which worked very well - we had to pay for it, and fridge. The safety deposit box is quite small, and you do have to pay for it.
Breakfast was good - you could sit inside or outside to eat it. Plenty of choice - hot drinks, cold juices, cold meats and cheeses, bacon, eggs, Greek sausage, beans, pancakes, cereals, breads, cakes, fresh fruit and tinned fruit, and yoghurts.
Drinks and food from the snack bar was good too - the club sandwich was huge, served with chips, and delicious.
The bungalow was cleaned every day, sheets and towels changed every other day, and our friendly maid did an excellent job of mopping out every day, including the terrace.
There was never a shortage of sunbeds, you were able to find some at any time of the day, either around the pool, or on the grass under the trees. The sea is accessed down steps, is quite warm and very clear, and you can walk out a long way before it becomes deep - lovely to cool down and have a swim.
Reception and restaurant staff were all very friendly too.
The hotel is situated on the main road through Argassi, just on the edge of all the restaurants and a few bars. Plenty of great restaurants to choose from, but our favourite was Zinc which is just up the road a very short walk away. Excellent food, and great staff, including the lovely owner who works very hard to make sure you are happy with everything - you must give it a try.
This was our 3rd stay in Argassi, and our 12th visit to Zante. The weather, the people and everything about this Greek island is perfect. We will return, and would happily return to the Mimoza Hotel 😍
The setting is truly beautiful and the sea clear and shallow. Perfect for a beach break. We had a bungalow and apart from the lovely outside space it was average.
Little hanging space, stained sheets and very hot even with the air conditioning on that has to be paid for.
The plumbing might look modern but the shower ran cold very quickly and the bathroom smells were awful
The bar is expensive and closes at 7 most evenings The tv has no English channels, given the availability of satellite channels this seems poor. That said when we tried to watch a football match in our room there was no wfi signal.
I do feel this place could be so much better with a bit more thought. The staff are all very freindly and the receptionist was extremely helpful .
I would recommend this place to families as its a safe complex and lots of good facilities on the doorstep. But they need to up their game .
