Golden Sun Resort is a new accomodation with twenty luxury rooms for adults only. Sixteen luxury rooms with private pool and four high floor rooms with private hot tub are available to make guest's stay unforgettable. The rooms can accommodate up to two adults. Rooms have Double bed, Mini bar with extra charge, Air Condition, hairdryer, iron, safe, satellite TV & 12 hours room service. Pool Bar Restaurant is open from early morning till night next to the Swimming Pool and the hot tub is also another place to relax. The Main restaurant is the place where everyone can enjoy Breakfast and Dinner with many choices from the ala carte menu. The Spa with an Indoor heated pool, Hammam and the Beauty treatments is the perfect place to feel refreshed. Golden Sun Resort & Spa has only 150m distance from the sandy beach,400m for Kalamaki center, 3km from the airport & 5km from Zante town

Perfect for a quiet, private and high-quality escape.
An absolute gem! We deliberated massively over this holiday as it was our honeymoon and we had a specific criteria, especially as my husband had Parkinsons disease. We wanted somewhere with a reasonable flight time from the UK, short transfer from airport, adults only, quiet and private with good food. The Golden Sun Resort and spa met all of our requirements. There are two sides to the hotel, the all inclusive family side and the adults only spa side. The adults only area is very quiet. It has a huge pool with plenty of sunbeds but these are hardly used due each of the 21 rooms having either their own pool or hot tub. We saw a maximum of 6 people around the pool all week. Likewise the bar is also quiet so we could enjoy a drink in peace and chat to each other and staff who are extremely friendly. The whole place from rooms, to pool, to bar to restaurant is spotless. We had a room with private pool and it did not disappoint. Incredibly comfortable sunbeds, very large pool (bigger than we had expected) you can actually swim in, with a good depth. Each pool differs slightly in depth but ours was 1.30m. We had the choice to have our room cleaned everyday which included bedding and towels being changed. The staff are FANTASTIC! So friendly and helpful. We felt like we had made friends by the time we left. In particular Emiliano and Kelly were brilliant. Both were so understanding of our specific needs and helpful in providing advice and guidance. The food was also top quality. As the board is only bed and breakfast in this side of the hotel we had the freedom of choice for other meals. Breakfast in ghe restaurant had a good choice on the menu with plenty of drinks included. We had lunch at the pool bar most days. Food was always very fresh and portions are very generous. We ate out in local restaurants in the evening which are around a 10/15 minute walk away or €10 in a taxi. The local restaurants are also excellent. Staff are very friendly and welcoming with food being excellent quality. This has been the first holiday in a long time where neither if us have had an upset stomach from food or water. As mentioned in other reviews you do see and hear planes regularly during the day but we actually enjoyed this. It became a game of guessing the airline as you hear them before seeing them. We were never woken by noise from planes or anything else during our stay. Once the doors are closed the rooms are very quiet. Overall we would unreservedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet break where you can step off and unwind in private without being disturbed by anyone as there are very few people around.

Week away
We have just returned from the Golden Sun and had a lovely week. Very nice rooms, plenty of space and storage and a large bathroom. Food was good and plenty of choice. The staff were all lovely and friendly and always cleaning! Would recommend.

Not the best!!
I don’t like to be negative but this is definitely not a 4* hotel. Please don’t get it muddled with the resort and spa which is next door! It is an average hotel with very average food and drink.
We came for a week as our son was getting married on Cameo Island. We paid like £2400 so I was expecting a bit better than what we got! We stayed in Dubai for same and it’s no comparison I can assure you!! Room was cleaned every day, 👍🏻 but apart from that very basic, only 1 mirror over a sink, poor lighting, not the best for ladies when they are trying to get ready, stretching with cords to dry your hair by the sink. Toilet and shower room, no wardrobe just pipe things to hang your clothes on and 2 drawers, no pictures, just walls, small tv stuck in the corner. Kettle and 2 cups, so pleased I took my own tea and coffee. Think butlins would have been more exciting. Trip hazard going into room and even though we knew it was there we still tripped up it, surprised one of us didn’t break a toe! Noisy outside the rooms and the planes were so low and loud. Pool bar a joke for food, hubby got an hot dog, it was that hard he would have broke a tooth if he had eaten it, ice cream was ok tho. Drinks were warm and just not inviting. You have to put a deposit of €10 per pool towel, redeemable at the end as long as you have the card they give you, sun beds so uncomfortable, they are basic no cushions just metal beds, so you had to get a towel as you couldn’t lie on one of them.
Food and dining room also like being in butlins! Plastic cups for wine, beer etc etc, no saucers with tea and coffee cups and wooden spoons! Food was basically the same every day, just transformed into another dish later. No theme nights or anything to make it a bit more interesting. Eggs sit under a hot plate so go like rubber, omelettes are not made for you they are pre made and also sit under a hot plate. It looked ok at first but by the end of the week you just didn’t want to face it. We thought all inclusive was a good idea but in retrospect it wasn’t as we ate out in the end and went out to drink of an evening as it was so uneventful. Maybe that’s what some people like, but not for us. Weve not stayed in such a basic room for a long time, there might be better rooms on the complex but ours wasn’t one of them. I wish now I had taken more photos to prove it. Having somewhere to put your stuff and get ready is important, 1 mirror for everything is inadequate. There should be a sink in the bathroom for washing your teeth etc. it was a sink in a horrible Formica top that had seen better days and that was the only place to get ready and have everything all together. We did think about asking to transfer to somewhere else but couldn’t face the hassle so stuck it out but we won’t return. Sorry!!

A fantastic hotel & beautiful setting
Had the best time at Golden Sun Hotel, all the staff were very good, attentive & worked extremely hard. Special mention to George from the restaurant always greeted us with a smile & was a pleasure, a real asset to the hotel. Also the guy on reception who spoke amazing English was also fantastic aswell as Alida & George at the bar. The food was great, always a good selection and the salads were amazing, if I had to nit pick it would be I would prefer wine in a glass instead of a plastic tumbler but certainly not a deal breaker. The rooms were immaculate & cleaned daily to a high standard. The location was spot on, very close to the beach and the main Kalamaki strip which had a good selection of restaurants, bars shops etc… we went to The Olive Tree restaurant and its was beautiful, all the front of house friendly & the food was great. We recommend a visit to Isabel’s which is a beach front location approx 15 mins in a taxis €15 with lovely sunbeds & a great restaurant. A bit pricey but lovely for a day out. Beautiful scenery and just a lovely setting 👌🏽 Would highly recommend ☺️

Well where shall I start, from the greetings by Arthur and the receptionist ( I forgot his name) , George , Alida and the other George at the bar offered us such a great customer service, the food was brilliant, varied & fresh, the head chef was showing and helping the front of house team. There is clearly a sense of what a team is! The entire place is clean the housekeepers were so friendly and work very hard to keep the whole place clean and tidy, our bedroom was spotless everyday, bless them working in that heat with a smile, well fair play to all of them. Zante is a beautiful island we had a fab week, we are hoping to go back one day! Oh one last thing we made some great friends from Denmark. Overall our experience as exceeded our expectations once again thank you to all of the staff nous avons aimé notre visite en Grèce .
