Poseidon Beach

The room was ok but the sink in the entrance was a little weird everyone had to go on the balcony so you could wash it was easier to have two showers a day the actual sink made me physically heave when I ran the tap to clean my teeth due to the smell of god only what there was hair all over ther the floor which was not our colour so I wore flip flops whilst in the the room due to cleanliness. The pool area is fine could be a little bigger the entertainment we didn’t stay in for as it was bingo every night and a disco with one night of actual entertainment which was brilliant done by fatti Food was disappointing not even watermelon at breakfast I love an all inclusive and know what to expect but this was diabolical

Arrived at hotel to be given the low down on the extras which we knew about. We went for air conditioning and safe about €80 which is annoying but needed. The air conditioning was fantastic. Room was on Lowe floor with pool view, although small and not enough storage it was ok. Now location is fantastic, right on the beach with lovely beach bars along the beach front. If you want the strip it's about a 10-15 minute walk away which you need to be aware of. Don't come anyway to laganas if you don't want noise! Choose a different part of the island. This is geared up for 18 -30s so respect there will be noise at 4am when they stumble in! Having said that there's always something to keep you amused!! Now regarding food. If your used to 5 star hotel all inclusive then you will be disappointed. We always found something to eat and the food was nice. The girl doing the omelette in the morning was fantastic they where the best I've had. The bar staff where brilliant too, seen some criticism on here about some but absolute rubbish . I took my own water cup with me 3 litre one and they would fill it with water or beer! Drinks are served in plastic cups which are horrible but in the main hotel bar they are served in glasses. The bar closes at 11am which is very early in my opinion but there is a supermarket over the road that sell every beer you can imagine and nice wine very cheap, i will go self catering if i went again. The hotel was very busy when we went in July and I'd imagine it would be very very busy in school holidays. We got a sun bed at 7am each day but come 8am they had all gone, I'd imagine in school holidays this could be a nightmare. Overall a great holiday we went all round the island on two boat trips organised by fortis which is about 7 minutes walk if you turn left out the hotel. Beware of boat trips organised on beach as they can just be a big piss up and overcrowded, we had max 25 people on board and got to swim in most caves around the island. We also saw turtles along the way every famous landmark there was, all for about 100 euros for the two days but full days . I have driven in some very dangerous countries but I wouldn't take a car out here, just too many teens driving like maniacs, saw so many accidents it was unreal. Top tip, take a pint glass and wine glass, or water beaker. Don't hire scooter, quad and becare with car hire.
