An amazing stay here for my first visit to Zante. All the staff were helpful, polite and friendly. From reception, to porter, to bar staff and restaurant waiters. The pool always had available loungers. You might need to move a couple together if there are a few of you. It is only 1.4m deep so a perfect depth to relax in as many people did throughout the day. The room was cool with great air conditioning. It was cleaned every day to a high standard. It was very quiet. The evening entertainment always finished by 11pm (midnight on Saturday) and this was varied - from Greek singers and dancers to DJ and singers and acrobats. Daytime entertainment was just enough with darts, table tennis, water polo featuring during the day. I found this resort good value for money. I'm not sure what extra you would get from the favourite club on site other than a separate bar open daytime and 2 small infinity pools. The local shops are only a couple of minutes walk as is a small beach with umbrellas and loungers and water sports.
Paula is dynamite in a small package, she may be petite, but she has the strength and ability to give an excellent massage. The facial was also fantastic with a bonus neck and scalp massage. All in all an excellent experience and would definitely recommend.
Erida was professional in her conduct and her technique was excellent. Outstanding massage that hit all the right spots and left me feeling truly relaxed!
Our holiday started when we arrived at the hotel and told where our room was. Imagine our surprise when we opened the door and found we were given a twin room with a view of the pool when I had paid extra for a double room with a sea view. After returning to reception and complaining and showing my confirmation which i had printed off I was told that we would have to stay in that room for the first night but would be moved to the room I booked the following day. When any stay starts ff with a problem you start looking at everything which is how we noticed that all the rooms have a small short bath which a shower attached to one end. The bath is narrow so for large lads like myself once showering and the bath getting soaked with soapy water it can be slippery so take care. They really need to rip them all out and replace them with walk in showers. The shower itself was nice and strong. There is a complete lack of shelves in the bedrooms and bathrooms , drawers to put clothes in, chairs to sit on, wardrobe space and luggage racks to put cases on. The room we were moved to had a lovely view but the air conditioning was fixed on a temperature and just a slow speed so took ages to cool the room. other rooms did not have this problem and newer air/con units had been installed. The TV only had 1 English speaking channel where most other European countries had 3 or 4 channels . After 5 days the TV sopped getting any signal and so never worked again even though we complained about it and the air/con 4 times during the stay. Even though the hotel declares nobody can reserve sun loungers with towels they do not do anything about it so if you want a decent lounger get up about 7 am and reserve them with your towels. When I booked the holiday the resort looked enormous with several pools but a month or so we arrived I was informed that they now had a club called the 'My Favourite' club and if you with to pay and extra £100 a night you can join which gives you exclusive use of a particular bar and lounge, a sun lounge area and 2 x infinity pools that the rest of us are not allowed to use. So we, the noral guest had only 1 pool to use. The 'my favourite' bar a lounge was closed during evenings which really should be then available to the rest of the guests as there was a lack of outside tables and chairs so play games on with friends during the evening.
The food was ok but not brilliant. Cheap cut of meat were used and while we always found something to eat it was a struggle especially at lunchtime.
All the staff are lovely and very professional and it is only through their hard work and dedication that I bet more complaints do not get reported.
Excellent experience with Paola, very attentive and caring. In tune with the pressure I needed and the areas that needed more work. Felt completely relaxed and refreshed afterwards.
