Zante Maris Suites

The hotel is fantastic and all the staff member are a huge credit to the hotel. A “Can do” attitude exudes from everyone. We were staying in a pool suite and any criticism relates to that only. The suites are lovely and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Given the size of the suite, it would easily have accommodated an easy chair or 2 so that there somewhere for both of us to sit and read, other than the bed! outside on the patio there was a fixed double “lounger bed” and a hard bench. We were that other pool suites in different areas did have chairs on their patio as well as the double longer.

Unfortunately by September, given the direction that the rooms all face, the sun is sufficiently low that in our suite (303) the sun Andy reached part of the patio lounger for 2 hours in the afternoon. (I think this applied to 301, 303, 305 & 307). The even numbered suites fared not much better, getting sun during the morning. The pool received sun most of the day.

There is little that can be done about the shade to patios at this time of year, but the location of the hotel (generally north/ north east facing) meant i think no suites fared better. We were offered a different room, but it had the same “later season shade issues” In June, July & August the sun will, i suspect comfortably reach most patios! Just something to consider at this hotel, if staying past the summer peak.

Just had a wonderful week staying here, everything was excellent, breakfast had everything you could possibly want and the staff were always so friendly.Special thank you to Eleanor for our Pilates classes and for looking after us in the gym. We definitely will return.
