- Lake Garda, Verona and Venice

Discover the timeless beauty of Lake Garda, where sparkling waters, colourful lakeside towns, and dramatic mountain scenery provide the backdrop to an unforgettable Italian escape. Explore the romance of Verona, savour the wines of Valpolicella, and lose yourself in the enchanting canals and hidden piazzas of the iconic city of Venice.
Please note: Your guide will accompany you on all days when you have excursions - they will not accompany you on days at leisure.

Dinner
Arrive at your destination and transfer to your hotel on the picturesque shores of Lake Garda. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant within walking distance of your accommodation.
Breakfast
Begin your day in Malcesine, a beautiful village of cobbled lanes and medieval architecture overlooked by Scaligero Castle. From here, take a scenic boat journey across the lake to Limone sul Garda, renowned for its historic lemon groves, colourful waterfront, and relaxed atmosphere. Continue by boat to elegant Riva del Garda, nestled between the lake and surrounding mountains. Spend time exploring its charming squares, historic buildings, and lakeside promenade before returning to your hotel by coach.
Breakfast
Experience the romance of Verona, the setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Wander through elegant piazzas and atmospheric streets lined with centuries of history, and admire the city's remarkable Roman amphitheatre. Travel to the rolling vineyards of the Valpolicella region, celebrated for producing some of Italy's finest wines. Enjoy a guided visit to a local winery, followed by a tasting of the area's distinctive vintages.
Breakfast
Today, journey north to the UNESCO-listed Dolomite Mountains, where vibrant green pastures, pine forests, and Swiss-style chalets paint a scene unlike anywhere else in Italy. This remote, rugged landscape offers not only invigorating mountain air but also the chance to spot rare wildlife like ibex, golden eagles, and deer. As you travel through this breathtaking region, enjoy visits to Ortisei, the dramatic Pordoi Pass and the charming town of Moena. You will also have the opportunity to ascend by cable car for extraordinary panoramic views across the mountain range (subject to seasonal operation, payable locally).
*In the event of severe weather conditions (such as snow or storms) that could disrupt our itinerary and prevent us from visiting the Dolomites, we will instead include a visit to Vicenza.
Breakfast
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Riva del Garda, perhaps taking a gentle stroll along the lakeside promenade and through the historic centre, or relaxing by the lakeside taking in your beautiful surroundings. Shopping enthusiasts can browse charming boutiques and local shops or, for those who enjoy hiking, a stroll to nearby Bastione is highly recommended.
Breakfast
Journey to captivating Venice, a city unlike any other, where narrow canals weave between centuries-old buildings and elegant palaces. Spread across more than 100 small islands and connected by countless bridges, Venice is a city best discovered on foot. During your guided walking tour, admire some of its most celebrated landmarks, including the magnificent St Mark's Basilica, the Gothic splendour of the Doge's Palace, and the iconic Rialto Bridge. Along the way, soak up the unique atmosphere of the hidden courtyards and bustling squares which have inspired artists and writers for centuries.
Breakfast & Dinner
Spend your final day in Italy soaking up the tranquil beauty of Lake Garda: relax by the waterfront, enjoy a leisurely lunch in town, or simply take in your magnificent surroundings. Alternatively, join an optional half-day excursion to Sirmione, a charming town known for its thermal springs, medieval Scaliger Castle, and charming historic centre. In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
