Ta Cenc Hotel and Spa is an island paradise within an island paradise. Set amongst 400 acres of beautiful grounds on the island of Gozo, Ta Cenc Hotel and Spa occupies its own private realm looking down over Gozo and across to Malta and Comino.
Built in keeping with the traditional local style, Ta Cenc Hotel and Spa is unlike any other hotel in Gozo or Malta. It is designed for your complete and utter relaxation; five star luxury is a way of life here.
Built on Gozo's highest point, the Ta Cenc Hotel and Spa affords unparalleled views. From this vantage point, you really do feel unencumbered by life's day-to-day worries. All that matters is the clean air, the astonishing landscape and the soothing rays of the sun. Peace and tranquillity reign. If ever a holiday could offer a transcendent experience, this is it.
In keeping with the local style, Ta Cenc Hotel and Spa is tastefully furnished – with lots of real wood and local stone, reinforcing that feeling of being at one with nature. Guest rooms are tastefully appointed, but come with all the modern facilities you'd expect, including cable TV, telephone, and tea/coffee making facilities. You will also enjoy your own private terrace or garden – just ask for more details.
For many, the spa itself will be the main attraction. In its indoor and outdoor heated pools, its sauna and steam bath, you can luxuriate in peace and quiet and savour each moment. To ensure every single care is lifted off your shoulders, the wellness centre also offers a Jacuzzi and massage service. (While those looking to get sporty can enjoy the gym and tennis courts.)
With all of Gozo stretched out below you, there is so much to experience and enjoy. But you may find that a week isn't even long enough to fully enjoy the Ta Cenc Hotel and its own surroundings, let alone Gozo. Still, with a superb hotel restaurant and extensive entertainment facilities, there isn't really any necessity to leave the hotel if you don't want to.
Visitors to the Ta Cenc Hotel and Spa enjoy a particularly special kind of holiday ambience and a unique sense of tranquillity that is very hard to resist.

Ta' Cenc, an island within an island for those who are looking for that special holiday of complete tranquillity and relaxation.
Built on Gozo's highest point, overlooking majestic cliffs and affording a magnificent view across to the islands of Malta and Comino, it is set in 400 acres of grounds. This very different hotel is built in local style so that it blends in with the surrounding landscape. The whole setting is one of remoteness at peace with nature.
We spent five nights there. Front desk checked us in quickly but there was no one to help with the luggage. First impression of the room ok but on close inspection the furniture was chipped and a glass worktop chipped. There was also an insect in the toiletries basket. The mattress felt worn and lumpy. The following day our used towels were taken from the room but not replaced. Also the water was not replaced. Phoning reception for these things took two calls and an hour. I felt the rooms were not cleaned well and the floor tiles felt grainy. Breakfast was varied with good choice of food and coffee. Meals also very good. Staffing was limited and they seemed overwhelmed as the same people seemed to be doing different jobs therefore asking for extra services like delivering an ironing board and a hairdryer took almost an hour. The drinking water in the room was warm and when requested ice I was charged 10 euro for room service! Unfortunately all this is far from a five star experience and the Management needs to address these issues.
Hotel Ta Cenc has a hygiene issue-
Potential is there but if hotel remains in this state I won’t come back and don’t recommend anyone else to go !
The only positive things are tranquility near the adult pool and food the rest needs a big upgrade not worth the money you pay
The room where I stayed was due for a refurbishment, as it looks like it has been stayed in for 10 + years, fridge was cool not COLD, and my Tablet has a bigger and better picture that the outdated LCD TV, the room was overlooking the FAMILY POOL, also the privacy is limited in the patio as your neighbour is sitting, literally across from you with no division of any type. A nice big plant of some kind, in the empty irrigated stone planter, would have worked wonders.
One really cannot complain about anything else, Breakfast was great, Staff Attentive and Pools and facilities were all great.
Hotel in a beautiful location but which is in dire need of refurbishment. The 5 star rating is definitely not merited- at it's current standard it should have 3 stars at best. The rooms especially (we stayed in one of the bungalows/trulli) feel run-down. There isn't a proper shower but a bath where it takes ages to get the right water temperature. The water goes from cold to boiling hot and vice versa. The TV in the room is not up to standard either. The same goes for the service- very slow and inattentive.
Pity because you can tell that the hotel was once beautiful and merited its 5 stars- perhaps in back in the 90s. With a bit of renovation and attention, its true potential can come to the fore once again.
