The Waterfront is one of Malta's most popular 4-star hotels. Occupying a prime location on Sliema's seafront promenade it has excellent guest facilities and spectacular views across the harbour to Valletta. The local ferry connects over to Valletta regularly and is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Close at hand are the shops and restaurants of Sliema and the lively centres of entertainment in Paceville (a short bus ride away).

Outstanding assistance
Lovely hotel spotlessly clean have to say that Lillian (duty manager ) was so very helpful with a request for help and took the trouble to personally bring the item to our room showing genuine concern for our predicament. All the staff here are so pleasant and efficient always helping with a smile we highly recommend the waterfront hotel for a visit that will meet the needs of the most discerning visitor will definitely be back when next in Malta . Great hotel worth a visit
The hotel is very well situated for easy access to Valletta and on the tour bus routes. The hotel staff are very helpful and considerate, the restaurant staff are especially welcoming. The hotel room was spotless and very comfortable, the room staff were excellent and arranged a very nice surprise for my wife’s birthday. Our room was at the front with great views to Valletta and the harbour anchorage in front of the hotel, it was great to sit on the balcony and watch the boats returning in the evening, and enjoy the occasional fireworks display. The restaurant breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of options, cooked, cold cuts and fresh fruit etc etc, it was well worth going in the morning. We did use room service one evening and the steak sandwich was superb. We also attended the Italian night which was well worth the extra paid, the tiramisu was worth the price on its own😄. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Malta and would recommend this hotel.

Excellent stay at Waterfront Hotel
We have been staying at the Waterfront for a week and have really loved it. The room is excellent and very comfortable with plenty of room. All of the staff have been very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Everyone from the reception desk to all the waiters particularly Anu, Rikta, Siddick and Sasha to name a few have gone out of their way to help. The hotel is very clean throughout. It is convenient for getting ferries to Valletta, Gozo and other islands. I’d highly recommend it. Date of stay: September 2026 Trip type: Traveled as a couple

Great location
Had a great stay at The Waterfront, stayed in Room 1103 which gave fantastic views out over the harbour towards Valletta. Room 1103 is a suite so is very spacious, lots of wardrobe space and nice little touches every day. But: room is situated below the rooftop bar, next to IOlive Grill, and opposite the Lido. This meant that at times the room was noisy, ear plugs are provided in the hotels Sleeping kit, so we made use of these. Staff were very friendly and helpful and management were often about and asking if everything was ok. Breakfast was varied and very good, lots of options to suit everyone. Again staff were excellent. The hotel offers a courtesy bus daily to Golden Bay beach. We used this twice but the beach can get very very busy. We booked airport transfers through the hotel and these were very well organised. We would recommend this hotel for a city break in Malta.

Fabulous Hotel
We have just returned from a lovely 10 day stay at The Waterfront Can’t fault it at all All staff are very attentive and cannot do enough for you We stayed bed and breakfast only so can only comment on the breakfasts. Food was very good. Lots of choice and always hot . Baristas for choice of coffee also Rooms were cleaned every day to a very right standard. Towels changed each day and bedding frequently. Can’t remember the name of our maid Ayva ? But she was brilliant Pool across the road was a god send Yrs it got busy but always got a bed. Lovely atmosphere and food was really good there Overall a great experience
