Perfect for exploring, nightlife, sightseeing and most of all well informed and truly helpful team
A tiny little gem of a hotel in a perfect location, spotless well equipped room - with all the toiletries etc that so many hotels have done away with. Yes, they provided earplugs (Valletta has a thriving nightlife). This did not bother me at all but if you want silent nights it might not be for you. The breakfasts were simple and delicious. The staff were outstandingly friendly and helpful. Everybody was genuinely engaged with our having the best experience - from remembering a morning coffee order to organising a fabulous day out with a driver in Gozo. I felt truly taken care of. So thanks to the team it was a super stay. There were building works outside so the road was blocked but there was ample help with bags for the 3 minute walk! Taxis are plentiful and very cheap using Bolt or Uber.

Nice but very noisy
Unfortunately this perfectly decent city centre hotel is spoiled by the neighbouring bar in Straight Street which plays music so loud it reverberates through the hotel. Having seen earplugs on the bedside table on arrival was not a good sign. I always expect a degree of noise in city centre hotel but this is quite possibly the worst in nearly 50 years of travelling. The hotel is fine if you are a night owl but for anyone who wants a decent nights sleep I would look elsewhere.

How can someone sleep here?
The hotel is fine, rooms are nice, but japanes-small, bear in mind. Location is good, but location is also terrible. The hotel is located in Valletta’s central area, and is very close to a disco… super noisy, almost impossible to sleep. The fact that they offer ear-plugs in the room says a lot.

Fabulous
Had wonderful stay for 3 nights and was central for everything. Rooms were spotless and complementary toiletries, water, drinks and snacks was a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely and fresh and juice and coffees were always served with a smile. Staff were really helpful and always willing to help. Special thanks to Marc for restaurant suggestions he was spot on and Olena on morning we were leaving with tracking our taxi

Great stay at the Barrister Hotel in Valletta!
We spent 5 nights at the ‘The Barrister Hotel’. It is a new, well appointed boutique hotel, with a legal theme based on the building’s history, occupied by lawyers in the past. It is in the heart of Valletta with walking distance to attractions, restaurants, bars while exploring the many beautiful alleys. The room was spotless, quiet with a very comfortable bed, a great bathroom and a/c. The continental breakfast was good and all the reception staff were friendly and helpful, especially Olena. Marc, the owner/manager was also present at the ‘Guilty’ breakfast room daily also providing a unique insight into Valletta’s history and evolution. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend staying in Valletta and this hotel while exploring Malta. Nick & Pam.
