This bright and modern apart hotel is situated just a short walk from the spectacular sandy beach of Praia da Falésia with its colourful sandstone cliffs. Olhos de Água offers another sandy beach and numerous restaurants. The lively resort of Albufeira with its numerous restaurants, bars, pubs and shops and Vilamoura with its elegant marina and the casino are both at a distance of 5 km.

Great stay, highly recommend
An excellent place to stay. Apartment was in good condition (not perfect but very good), spotlessly clean and well presented. Nice and spacious and had everything we needed, decent selection of equipment in the kitchen so you could cook if you wanted to.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Snack bar is open 9 till 9 and has a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner (nothing fancy but for a family with kids you could get pizza and chips etc on a night).
Pool didn't get too busy, there were times when all the sunbeds would be in use but there was no rushing out to reserve them, you could go out at 10 and find beds, and people came and went so as often as not there were free sunbeds at any time.
Location is ideal. Olhas de Agua itself has got loads of great restaurants and bars, some literally 2 minutes walk from reception, then the main area by the beach is only 5 minutes walk or so. There's also other good options if you walk 15 minutes past the inter marche. Bus or taxi to Albufeira is easy and cheap, Villamoura was only €15 in a Bolt.
Highly recommend both the hotel itself and the location.
(Don't expect much from the gym, the treadmill is very good and you book in so you don't clash with anyone but after that the bike has seen better days and the weights are limited)

Excellent friendly hotel in great location
Back to aquamar this year after such an enjoyable stay previous year. Excellent hotel for families, the staff are a credit to hotel , all so helpful and friendly. The hotel is spotless , lovely snack bar with nice food and very reasonably priced. The swimming pools are surrounding area with loungers is perfect for relaxing , nice atmosphere with no scrambling for sun beds. Short walk to beach , nice restaurants around and taxi rank beside hotel. Daughters all ready asking to go again next year. Favourite hotel for a family holiday in Portugal .

Lovely clean and relaxed aparthotel
Lovely small aparthotel. Staff lovely. Clean and great apartments with everything you need - oven, kettle, microwave oven and hob. Very relaxed. Bar has lovely food. Special mention to Maria at the bar and for a lovely young man a check in (something like Thomas … but don’t catch his name - working his school holidays). Kids loved the pools and lots of good restaurants in walking distance. Beach about 10min walk away. Lovely rock pools too!

Disappointing Stay
Really have mixed reviews if we’re honest. Certainly not following the masses with 5/5 scoring. In no particular order..
- Gym was tiny and had no air con, not the gym advertised on website
- element on our cooker went on day 2 , was replaced in a timely manner
- shower hose over bath rather dated was also loose
- family of four could not sit out in balcony , too small
- not enough sun loungers to cover all residents
- pool area requires maintenance, grass overgrown, grime (rim) is noticeable on both large pools - needs to be cleaned
Flies , ants and cockroaches affect relaxing time on sun lounger. Our biggest concern was the female member of staff working in the bar / dining area - Maria Very grumpy and not friendly at all No consistency on service provided The friendly lad looked after us really well, when the same was expected from Maria it all became uncomfortable, very abrupt and unapproachable. Bottle of wine left in the room on our last day, feel like it’s a sweetener for a positive Trip advisor review Not for us I’m afraid , would not consider returning.
Brilliant will come here again
This is a brilliant location with a lovely atmosphere, the rooms are spotless and the apart/hotel offers great value, close to amenities, such as mini markets, quality restaurants and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach
