4th time we have been to this hotel and absolutely love it. Yes, it is a smaller hotel with a smaller pool area. It has no entertainment at night but it is very close to local restaurants, bars and supermarket. There is also a taxi stop very close to the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and kept to a high standard (also thank you for having lactose free milk as well, it's the little things that count)
Great hotel, location and staff
The hotel is new with generous rooms and modern decor. Everywhere was spotless and good value for money. The staff were friendly and on my wife’s birthday we were unexpectedly given complimentary champagne and cake.
The pool area looked inviting although we never used this space as we headed to the nearby beaches.
Sept is a good time to visit. Hot but not too hot. Bars and restaurants were busy but not too busy. Regardless of where we ate the food was excellent and everyone was friendly.
We were in a newer part of town and a 35 min walk from the old town
Just a couple of small points. The hotel is close to a karaoke bar, although if you are out for a late night or karaoke is your thing this isn’t an issue. Our room was over reception which could sometimes be a little noisy with people coming and going.
Would happily return to this lovely hotel.
Lovely hotel but a few issues
Just come back from this hotel 12th September room. food. very good location just a few bars around .entertainment none no bar open at night there is a longe bar with piano neve opened .you Good get drinks with meal served from pool bar that closed at 6 30 .There is a roof top bar no signage to get there.two lots of stairs no hand rail not lit not safe. Also hotel doesn't change English money for euros had to go to the strip 15 minutes walk .

Pleasant Stay, Though Not Great Value for Money
My stay at Aqua Pedra Dos Bicos was a mix of positives and frustrations. The staff were consistently friendly, which really does make a difference, and the hotel itself is clean and well located.
However, I did feel the value for money wasn’t quite there. For the price point, the rooms lack basic practicality — there are no drawers or proper storage, which makes longer stays awkward. The side sea‑view balcony is very small, and the bathroom setup requires stepping into a bath rather than using a walk‑in shower, which didn’t feel safe.
The air conditioning is loud enough to disturb sleep, and breakfast each morning was quite chaotic. The self‑service layout is extremely poor, with no natural flow or defined start‑and‑finish points. As someone who has worked for many years in the food and hospitality industry designing kitchens and servery areas, it’s clear the breakfast space hasn’t been organised with guest movement in mind. Instead of a smooth queue, people end up bumping into each other while trying to reach different stations, which creates unnecessary stress and often results in cold food by the time you sit down.
One thing future guests should be aware of: the pool bar adds a 5% service charge on top of the menu prices, and this seems to appear only when paying by card rather than cash. It isn’t clearly advertised, so discovering it late in the stay wasn’t ideal and definitely affected the sense of overall value.
The hotel has potential, and the staff are lovely, but a few practical improvements — especially around room layout, breakfast organisation, and clearer pricing — would help the experience better match the costs incurred.
5 day stay
Very pleasant, welcoming stay.
Really enjoyed the stay with my partner for her birthday surprise. The hotel were great in preparing the room for her on arrival and very easy to communicate with regarding this via email for the special request. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and felt well accommodated overall.
Food was very nice and produced a wide variety. Potentially could have a couple more hot items displayed but overall great and serves all needs for a 5 day stay.
