All round dreadful.
I would advise anyone thinking of visiting the Bayside Salgados in September to look elsewhere. A group of around 20 who visit every year think they own the place, and a few of them are very rude and obnoxious. One of them actually grabbed me and when my husband intervened he was threatened with a pool cue. All of this happened in front of the head barman, who actually defended the the drunken yobs. The beach is 30 mins walk away, and the nearest shop is at least 15 mins. Taxis are needed every day and night if you wish to visit Albufiera. The apartments are stuck in the middle of nowhere. The only good thing I can say about this place is that the cleaning staff were great.
Peaceful Salgados
We have stayed here since Tuesday and have had a lovely time. Not the best weather, but no one's fault! It's in a quiet area but a 15 minute walk to a variety of restaurants. The best one's we found were along the sea front. The breakfast has been fresh and a good choice - all presented well and very clean. Served in the bar which is also very bright and hospitable. Our room suited our needs and is very clean. They gave us extra pillows and a safe key when we asked. The hotel is quiet so we've slept well too. The area is quiet and great for walkers. We can't find many negatives apart from the cold pool but no one to blame there!
Lovely apartment perfect for exploring the Algarve
Lovely little apartment that was perfect for our stay. Our teenage son slept on the pull-out bed in the lounge area and we slept in the bedroom, there was plenty of room. The snack/drinks bar is very handy and they do pool service. The toasties they make are good. The pool was lovely and clean. Plenty of sunbeds and places to sit in the shade. We had a couple of days where we just stayed by the pool. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Aldi is a 20 minute walk away (can be tricky to manage in the heat), a lovely restaurant called Adega dos Salgados only about eight to ten minute walk away, a couple of beach’s around ten to twenty minute walk away. You can get Ubers very easily around here. We also went to Zoomarine and it was 15 minutes in an Uber. Old town was a similar amount of time in an Uber. We would stay here again. The only reason we put four stars instead of five is because sure there was only air con in the lounge area and none in the bedroom so if we wanted to stay cool we needed to leave the bedroom door open.

Nice hotel
All around a nice hotel.
The staff were lovely and helpful, the hotel and grounds were well kept and cleaned everyday, the rooms very clean and spacious, beds comfy and good working air con. The pool was great, big enough and lots of sun loungers. Breakfast was fine, the usual little pastries, cereal, a few hot options like sausages eggs etc. Beach is only a 10-15min walk, however the scorching heat does make it difficult. Supermarket a short walk too
There aren’t too many restaurants nearby but Ubers are cheap to use.
Really peaceful hotel, barely heard a peep at night time, but if you want somewhere with a bit more going on around you then this isn’t the place to stay.

Really great place, relaxing location, rooms like new. Nothing not to like
Fantastic clean and modern resort, with top furnished rooms. Very relaxing location as quite remote to busy albuferia. Ubers very easy to use in local area, and for the cost of accomodation great value for money. All Staff really friendly and pool really good. Nothing to fault. Walkable to local places to eat also.
