It’s a decent place for young people
Went here for a girls trip in June and wasn’t sure what to expect due to the different reviews.
Staff- 3/5 = When we got there it was apparent they didn’t trust us and asked for the €100 deposit per person straightaway. We were already aware we would need to pay it so we weren’t surprised but the woman wasn’t the most welcoming. The man who works there however was lovely, when we checked out he didn’t check our rooms before giving our desposit back as it was apparent he trusted us and put the England game on for us in the reception room as we waited for our transfer.
Rooms- 3/5= Honestly the rooms aren’t bad at all and it’s a 3 star hotel so I don’t know what some people expect. The air conditioning works well, the bathroom was really clean and kitchen was equipped with necessities. The only thing I would say is that the rooms are a proper key, not a key card so I felt a bit unsafe as the locks were quite rusty but they assured us it was a safe area and we never had trouble. The wifi doesn’t work in the rooms, only really outside by the pool area which was quite annoying. Housekeeping are meant to come 5 days out of 7 I believe and you have to pay extra for them to come every day (i think this is quite tight) but in the 7 days we were there I think they only came 3 times which was annoying as we filled up the bin within a day (it is small and there was 5 of us).
Atmosphere- 2/5= When we went it was a mixture of families and young people but i would say it was 80% young brits and it was very loud. When we checked into our rooms we were told that being loud would result in warnings and could result in us being kicked out however that is evidently not enforced and everyone was shouting from their balconies every night and blasting music which was quite annoying. I wouldn’t recommend this place to families because of it.
Pool- 5/5= I read reviews saying the pool was freezing and dirty…it’s not. It was a good temperature and clean. The indoor pool was really nice aswell and the jacuzzi aswell.
Food/drink- 4/5= The food was decent and drinks were good aswell. I think cocktails were €9 so I don’t think that’s too bad.
Location- 4/5= The location is great other than the fact it is a very steep hill to get to the old town but we already knew this and just got ubers (which are so cheap and easy to get!)
Overall I still think it is a bit overpriced for what we paid for June but it was clean and was an alright place to stay and for young people I think it’s good.
Great value and highly recommended
We’ve just come back from a 10 day stay here and thought Páteo village was great. The rooms could possibly do with a bit of an upgrade I guess but overall would highly recommend this place. It was clean, well maintained and most importantly there wasn’t a mad morning rush for sun beds. The rooms were spacious with AC and the pool bar met all needs. There was a good mix of people staying there (not all English) and everyone was friendly.
Beware of €100 deposit
Decent accommodation, however the woman at reception was rude and we were treated like children rather than being welcomed. Beware you may have to pay a €100 cash deposit per person if they seemingly do not trust you. About 20 minutes uphill from old town too, so location was alright but not great
It’s decennnnnnntttt
Webt there for a week in July with my mates (all 18) it is a decent hotel and I had no problems with it . Stayed in a top floor room so got a huge balcony with two fantastic veiws. The bar is cheap the shop is a bit naff but there is another one just down the road. The rooms are okay but youu definitely get what you pay for and the staff are friendly and available 24/7. Also 15 minute walk from the old town strip. All in all I would reccomend this place as a good hotel for a lads holiday or another stay. (Only issue is the €100 per person deposit when you get there + €20 if you want a safe)
Great value
Hotel was much better than expected for a lads holiday destination.
2x Brand new AC units in our room, with a hob, oven, microwave, toaster & kettle available. All clean.
Pool was large with indoor available aswell. Pool bar & cafe was very well priced with good quality and friendly staff (applies for reception and shop aswell).
Walk down to old town was about 15 minutes down a couple of steep banks.
Main downside was the €100pp deposit, which was cash only. No issues getting it back at the end but can’t feel it’s a bit steep, especially being left with €100 in cash on your last day.
