Lovely Hotel
Just returned from a fabulous two weeks at this hotel. We where welcomed by very friendly reception staff. And then went to our room 417 it was fabulous and what a view we had from our balcony! The breakfast was excellent so much chooice would suit everyone. Again staff where lovely. Loved going for a swim everyday in the main pool. Not knowing the names of all the receptionists who who so kind and helpful durring our stay Thank You.

Excellent family stay
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A lovely family stay!
We had a really lovely stay at Holiday Inn Albufeira. From check-in to check-out, the staff were so friendly and welcoming.
A special mention to Marina at reception, who was always so kind and helpful, Rita in the restaurant, who was lovely and attentive, and Yznes, who always gave our daughter a balloon. 🎈 It was such a small gesture, but it made her so happy and really added to our holiday.
The pool was clean, quiet and relaxing, and we loved spending time there. The food was also excellent — even our usually picky son enjoyed every meal!
It’s the little things and the lovely staff that made our stay so memorable. We had a great family holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel. We’d happily come back! ❤️🇵🇹
Long wait for room
Place looks really nice but have not been able to check in to a room. Been waiting all day. Supposedly ready by 3pm it is now 4:07 still saying shortly but that is what we were told at 3pm.
Very nice hotel.
We're just back home after a three night stay here. The hotel was very good value for three of us for the August bank holiday weekend. Staff at reception were very nice. Our room was spacious and was cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided. We didnt see any ants during our stay. The shower was very powerful and Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were provided.
The pools were very nice with no issues getting beds. The pool bar was very expensive and thats why I havent given 5 stars. For a super boch beer they were charging 7 euro. It wasnt even a pint glass. I think this is very steep. We got food there our first day and it was also expensive but nice.
The hotel is located a good twenty mins walk to old town albufeira. Its all down hill so not bad going in but I would recommend a taxi or uber back to the hotel which will cost around 5 euro.
Breakfast was included in or stay. Its a buffet style breakfast with different cold and hot options. You can also order a fresh omelette or eggs. You would need to be there for 9 or maybe 9:30 at the latest as it gets extremely busy from then on.
The hotel also has a fabulous gym with plenty of machines for weights and also treadmills and stationary bikes. There is also an indoor pool that we didnt use but looked clean.
All in all I think this is a very nice hotel and I think some of the reviews are very harsh towards it. I would definitely stay again.

wouldn’t stay again
We stayed for 3 nights. When we first arrived we were waiting over half an hour longer for check in after 3pm. Room is very spacious with a very comfy bed. we woke up the first night to many ants in our bed and under the pillows. we addressed this situation to reception and said they would get this sorted immediately and blamed it on the fact it’s summer. Five hours later nobody had been up to change our bed and was still left with ants so we went back to reception again to tell them. This time the bed was made but not changed so the ants were still there. The cleaner that has been sent was fairly rude to my friend. So we rang reception again about the issue and got told to move rooms. This took us all around an hour as we were moving from floor 4 to -1 with no help from anyone. The new room had no ants and was clean. we ate twice at the restaurant, food was tasty however service was sometimes slow, however one of the nights we had to move tables due to around 100 ants at our feet whilst sat inside. On a morning for breakfast it was very busy and hard to find a seat and lots of the options were empty and filled up very slowly so you had to wait ages for more food to be brought out. The hotel does offer a free shuttle service which we found convenient to get to the beach and old town.
