Chilled experience
We stayed for 5nts at the Regency Salgadas and overall had a good experience. The location was ideal for a chilled holiday. Walking distance to beach and few good restaurants nearby. We hired a car as wanted to explore more of Portugal but you can get bus or uber if you want to go to old town etc. The hotel decor was lovely, rooms were clean & very comfortable. We changed our room as we were next to car park area...the updated room had a lovely view, balcony for extra 50 euro. The staff were lovely & friendly, especially Carla (reception) & Rubin was a star! Also the young Portuguese barman (don't know his name) We did have few issues with couple of staff but think it was due to language barrier. The breakfast was delicious and so fresh with plenty choice. We did have dinner at hotel first 2nts which was a buffet, it was nice but think we would have preferred a set menu option... Our stay was good and we definitely would recommend the Regency Salgadas hotel.
Lovely hotel, good location
Lovely little boutique style hotel, small and intimate, staff very friendly and great value food and drinks, we stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was really good. Would happily return to this lovely hotel, plenty of really nice restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk.
Lovely place to stay and lovely staff
Stayed for 3 nights in room 210 which has a view of the pool and garden and a small balcony which was fine for 2 We were met on arrival by Tatiana who was lovely and made us really welcome top marks for customer service We only ate breakfast at the hotel which was a buffet and really excellent The pool is a little small but fine for the size of the hotel and there is a smaller pool for small children Food and drink could be purchased from an on site “food truck “ As mentioned before staff are great with a particular mention for Tatiana and Marissa
Second Stay and Still Excellent
This was my second stay at the Regency Salgados Hotel & Spa, and I would happily stay again.
The biggest strength of this hotel is the staff. Every member of staff I interacted with was friendly, professional and genuinely helpful. They really make guests feel welcome and are a credit to the hotel.
The hotel itself is modern, clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, the pool area is excellent, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy some time away.
The location is also good. The beach is within walking distance, and although the hotel isn’t in Albufeira Old Town, it’s only around 12 minutes away by Uber, which typically cost us between €6 and €10 depending on the time of day. For anyone who enjoys the nightlife, restaurants and atmosphere of the Old Town, it’s very easy and inexpensive to get there.
If I were to suggest a couple of areas for improvement, they are only minor points. The toilet paper provided could be of a better quality, and while the breakfast was perfectly acceptable with plenty of choice, it can feel a little repetitive if you’re staying for several days. Neither of these points affected my enjoyment of the holiday, and I mention them only as constructive feedback rather than criticism.
Overall, this is a hotel I have now chosen twice, which probably says more than anything else. Great staff, clean facilities, a lovely pool area and good value for money. I would definitely recommend it and would not hesitate to return for a third visit.

Very Deserving of 4 stars 🌟
A super smart hotel . Greeted by the lovely Patricia who was helpful throughout our stay . Rooms were lovely with nice attention to detail. Beautifully thick & soft white fluffy towels , great smelling toiletries and a large comfortable bed . Brilliant digital system to show if you require maids to come in or do not disturb . Breakfast was great everyday , the staff work constantly to keep all food fresh. Bar snacks & splash food truck were great options for food . Lovely pool area & pool , a little chilly but ok when you get in . We eat out most evenings dining at Bellavita , Italian, All you can eat steakhouse, and a few restaurants on the marina which was a nice location . We took a boat trip to benagil caves which was impressive, no dolphin sightings unfortunately. As we both have knee issues we chose to use ubers to get around . They were fast , reliable and very cheap . We had a fab week and would definitely return .
