Several excellent golf courses are within easy reach, Faro International Airport is at a distance of about 30 km.

Lovely holiday with some recommendations for improvements!
We’ve had a lovely stay at Ap Victoria as a family of four, with two young kids. Lots of positives and a few suggestions for improvements. Positives - the hotel is very clean and our apartment was big, had good AC and was cleaned every day (apart from when we just had clean towels and bins emptied due to a napping toddler). The facilities are good - the main pool is decent (though a little cold for babies!) and there were always plenty of sun loungers. We didn’t use the sports facilities. The main positive was the staff at the hotel, in particular Marta and Jojo who were so great with our kids and made such an effort to make you feel welcome. They looked out for us every day and put in so much effort with the activities to offer fun around the pool and some evening entertainment for the kids. Thank you!! The catering staff were great too and always helpful getting high chairs/yoghurt requests!
Negatives/Improvements - the food was okay. Lots of choice at breakfast but lunch/dinner were very samey after a few days. The food was often a little on the cool side too, but we did always come away with full stomachs! Some food was missing labels so it could be difficult if you had dietary requirements. The kids pool is round the back of the hotel and was very quiet. It felt a little run down and there were quite a few missing tiles etc and the slide/fountains just needed a little updating/paint! Whilst our toddler loved the kids pool, the path to get there was pretty impossible with a buggy and the alternative route through the hotel involved steps and another gravel path which was difficult to navigate too. Saying that, Jojo helped carry the buggy one day to help us out and another day we were helped by a gardener.
Location - it is a little isolated. The beach is about 10 mins away but the shorter route includes loads of steps, which was difficult with a buggy and a toddler/baby. There was an alternative route which took longer but had less steps, but involved a gravel path at the side of a road which was impossible to push the buggy on. We did manage a few trips to the beach though, and it is beautiful! There’s a supermarket nearby and a little square with a couple of restaurants/bars…but that’s it.
All in all, a lovely holiday with no major issues at all.

Staff that go the extra mile
Great staff at this lovely hotel - We had a problem with our luggage being left in the UK and not getting any help from the tour operator to locate it. Pedro made contact with Jet2 and located our luggage at the airport. He then arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport to collect our luggage. Thankyou for your patience and understanding
Family Holiday in Portugal 🇵🇹
What a fabulous 10 nights! Location was great, short walk to the beach, a couple of shops and restaurants/bars in close proximity. The rooms were a great size and very clean! Air con was great! Food was mostly great, however, if you have a fussy child like us, they will struggle. There’s a kids buffet but there’s only 3 options on here and they aren’t very plain, e.g. carbonara pasta. Food was fresh and a good selection. Snack bar was also great for through the day. Staff on a whole were so helpful, however we were met with displeasure when we arrived at breakfast for the first time as a family of 7! Occasionally we had to move our own tables and chairs in the restaurant. There were some lovely staff in there who always made sure your table was cleaned. We read a few reviews before arriving about the lack of sun beds which did worry us, however there wasn’t any need to worry as not being able to put your towels down until 9am was great. They do need more sun beds for the size of the hotel though. Entertainment was great, Jojo and Marta were fab with the kids especially for the mini disco. There’s fire show and magic show were also worth the watch! Sport facilities are also great, my son enjoyed paddle and football everyday! Overall a fab holiday and would return.
Overall good and gym goers will enjoy
Went for 6 nights in August 2026.. the hotel and facilities were good.. food was also good… rooms were clean and a good size… overall experience of this hotel was Positive, as a gym goer the gym was high standard for a hotel gym.. the running track was also good!..
Some of the staff are very friendly especially the kids club staff.. JoJo and Sol are amazing..
The only thing I didn’t like was some of the hotel staff (younger staff) aren’t as helpful or as friendly the older staff… I asked on a few occasions about kids club times, gym opening times etc.. and got a response ‘ I don’t know’..
Other than that I would reccomend the hotel it’s very good and kid friendly

Fabulous hotel for a fabulous holiday
Just got back home after a fantastic weeks holiday at the AP Victoria. The hotel is modern and clean. The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice, the desserts have left my clothes feeling a little snug. We were all inclusive and definitely made the most of it, a great choice of cocktails and other drinks available. My eldest had a fantastic time utilising the football pitch, along with a large group of other children of the same age. We never struggled to get a sun bed and were pleased with the rule that sun beds couldn’t be reserved until the pool opened at 9am, there were usually still sun beds available until at least 10am if you didn’t mind being in a slightly shady spot. Sometimes you weren’t served immediately at the bar, but during the whole week we never waited for longer than 5 mins even at the busiest time. We never struggled for a table for the evening entertainment either, which was varied through the week. We would definitely bring our two boys back here, the only negative I had was that I didn’t book ten nights as I wasn’t ready to come home.
