Prainha Village is located by the sea, extending over 35ha area on the cliff, with direct access to the beautiful Três Irmãos beach through a lift, being the perfect hideaway for a family holiday, a trip with the friends, or just a relax getaway.
The Prainha Village consists of two accommodation areas: a first one, related to Prainha's first construction phase, consisting of small sets of 1 and 2-bedroom Apartments and 2 and 3-bedrooms villas, with no air conditioning, with a decoration and setup inspired in the Algarvian tradition and different from one another, implanted among gardens that allow you to take pleasant walks throughout the touristic village, without leaving the complex.
You will also have at your disposal a second area of accommodation, built at a later stage, consisting of 2-bedroom Townhouses and 3-bedroom villas with private pool. Equipped with air conditioning, these Townhouses and villas with private pool have a modern decoration and setting, with fully equipped kitchens with electric hob, oven, fridge, extractor fan, microwave, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher, and electric kettle.
This quiet resort stands out not only by the different accommodation options but also because of the wide range of services and equipment available for all ages, with 3 outdoor pools for adults and 2 for children, and a cliff-top outdoor pool, with breathtaking views over the Atlantic. On-site you will also find a supermarket (April-October) and 4 restaurants, including the renowned “Caniço” restaurant, embed in the cliffs.
Praia da Rocha and its nightlife is approx. 4 km away. Interesting places nearby include the historic city of Lagos (21 km), Caldas de Monchique (30 km), Slide and Splash waterpark (20 km) and Zoomarine (33 km). Faro Airport is approx. 65 km distance from the complex and Lisbon Airport is about 300 kilometers away.

Very disappointing
Had previously been coming here to this resort for the past 10 years what a disappointment we had this year We had booked an apartment privately and were not told we would not have access to the pool facilities the village reception was so unhelpful along with the main hotel reception in trying to resolve this issue for us. Staff were rude ,abrupt and just in general couldn’t care less as we hadn’t booked through them I guess customer loyalty for the past 10 years means nothing. We ended up leaving that accommodation and rebooking to stay with the hotel itself my god I believe we were given the worst apartment on the grounds E14 the smell of damp and old when you opened the door was disgusting. We requested to be moved which we were to a better apartment but with no aircon ants were a major issue also. I am sad to say after so many family holidays and lovely memories we will not be returning.
2 Bed Villa
We stayed in the 2 bed villa. 3 Adults and 2 kids (13&9). The facilities are great and on beach. Plenty of pool space and no having to get up early to get sun beds. The Atlantico pool is unreal and great for older kids as plenty of space to dive in etc. The villas are very basic but cleaned everyday so I couldn’t fault it. Only issue is there is no air con in the 2 bed villas so if you are coming end of July / August it will be hard to sleep I say. Staff very friendly and helpful. Taxi into Alvor is only €5. Lively boardwalk too but quite hilly village so if you have young kids best to walk into Alvor and get taxi home. We had a great time here and would definitely recommend for families

Lovely stay in a beautiful resort
Lovely stay in a beautiful resort. The Atlantic pool in particular was beautifully landscaped with stunning views over the cliffs and sea. Great selection of restaurants and bars on site and also along the boardwalk towards Alvor. The townhouse we stayed in was clean, apart from the inevitable ants, and had most things needed for a self catering holiday.
The only things missing were a hairdryer and bottle opener so bring these with you. Also there is no luggage service offered so depending on where your accommodation is located on the resort be prepared to carry/drag your suitcases some distance.
Lovely family holiday
We stayed in a 2 bedroom townhouse, it was clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen and lovely outdoor area overlooking one of the pools. The village is quite large so depending where you stay it could be a long walk with your luggage after checking in at the hotel reception. Only a short walk to the beach and the bus stops to travel into Alvor or Portimão but there are also plenty of places to eat and a small supermarket in the village. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the resort was perfect for our two young children.
Beautiful location.
A beautiful and quiet location in April. We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed breakfast in the hotel twice during our stay. Due to it being quiet, some food was cooked to order. Also enjoyed Miss Pasta I agree with other reviews that charging for sunbeds seemed really silly - everyone was just sat on the grass next to them. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the townhouse we stayed in was perfect. The complex is large but it has a lovely feel to it. We enjoyed walking back to our house via a different way each time!
