Very disappointing experience — would not stay here again

Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the staff, who were consistently unkind and unfriendly throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a hotel where you feel welcomed, accommodated, and taken care of, I would not recommend staying here.

One experience in particular was extremely frustrating. I had something delivered to the hotel that I needed for medical reasons. Before placing the order, I specifically confirmed with the front desk that I could have it delivered to the hotel, and I was told that this was okay. When the delivery arrived, however, the delivery person was turned away and I was later told that it was “against hotel policy.” What made this even more frustrating was that the package had actually been received and was sitting in the back of the hotel the entire time. Thankfully, one employee eventually helped me locate it and was the only person who showed any kindness or willingness to assist during the situation.

The hotel itself is also very confusingly laid out. It took us about 10 minutes just to figure out how to get to our room. If you have any difficulty with stairs, walking, or mobility, I would strongly recommend choosing another hotel, as navigating the property can be quite difficult.

Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. Between the unfriendly staff, lack of communication, confusing layout, and the way our situation was handled, I would not return. 1/10 — unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights in this room. We realized that neither the TV nor the phone in the room worked: we discovered the next day that the Ethernet cable didn't work. The balcony was dirty and the old sliding door was not well soundproofed: you could clearly hear the motor of the air conditioner working. The toilet was leaking (incongruent with their "we love the planet" slogan) and the glass partition in the shower was also leaking to the exterior of the restroom. We also needed a soft pillow, that we did not get. The receptionist did not tell us they did not have a pillow menu. The minibar was not cold enough. Be aware as well that room cleaning could be carried out until 17:30. At the end of out stay we spoke with the front desk manager (Cristina V.) and she said they will manage these issues as soon as possible for the rooms along this corridor. She didn’t promise us anything specific.

Therefore, we recommend that you before getting installed, check all the services of the room you expect to use just in case, and ask for a switch rooms if necessary.

Hotel reception & bar areas are nicely decorated & staff are friendly & helpful, however, the rooms we stayed in are tired and mine & my friends room we shared had a cockroach in it! The pool area & views of the building all need a lick of paint & upgrade, which looks like it is gradually taking place. We booked a group few days away to watch some of the World Cup in Lagos & had a great time. Made sure we had a package break to be covered for delays or cancellation. Overall the hotel needs some investment to bring it up to standard. Plenty of choice at breakfast time.
