A touristic resort ideal for quiet holidays and just a few minutes from the beach and Lagos city centre. Guests are invited to discover the hotel in the Algarve. It is the ideal choice for families and for those whom are looking for a relaxing break near Lagos city and the beaches: Porto de Mós and Dona Ana, considered one of the best beaches in the world. Visistors benefit from the resort, keeping a comfortable distance from the city centre as well as discover the most beautiful beaches of the Algarve. The city of Lagos is a historic town, although cosmopolitan, with Marina and a lively nightlife, fantastic restaurants, pubs and shops, that you can be found walking through its picturesque streets. The city is very proud of its history and monuments. Rooms are such a comfortable as home, well-appointed to ensure the rest.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Vila Branca exceeded my expectations. The apartment was huge, clean, tidy and comfortable. A perfect base throughout the day. Balcony with a pool view so we could see if it was busy down there and choose which pool to go to. The food was delicious, the area beautiful and every single member of staff lovely. Very conveniently outside of the busy part of Lagos but accessible by walking or an Uber for like €3. Just round the corner from a nice little shop for snacks. Went in the last week of July which we were told by a local is just before Portugal start their holidays and it gets much busier. Amazing holiday from start to finish.
Very clean hotel wasn't ready when we arrived which was very early but there is a pool bar where you can wait . Suitcases were locked away in reception. Reception staff were fantastic. Was overcharged for a coffee at the pool bar but was rectified quickly by the manager. No mad rush for sunbeds which was great sometimes arriving at pool at 1pm . Plenty places to eat about 20 mins walk away but you can get a bolt taxi for about 4 euro. Mini supermarket well stocked and just 2 minute walk away. We will return
When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the apartment fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and dishwasher. The apartment was huge with great storage and were located on the ground floor by the pool. All the staff were really helpful and courteous. There was no mad rush to put the towel on the loungers by the pool. The beaches were 20 mins walk away or €3 euro in a Uber. For dinner we walked into Lagos approx 20mins with lots of variety. The Eureka shop at the top of the road stocks all essential and the Intermarché supermarket is 20mins away. All in all a great 10 days spent in this part of Portugal and will definitely be returning. Keep up the good work A++++
Vila branca was an amazing experience for me. It has a great atmosphere to the place and was very welcoming. The rooms are really nice and well spaced out and well organised. We paid for a pool view and a balcony, the balcony was massive and we had a great brief view of what the pool was like and the sun beds. Some rooms didnt have a balcony though so I would check before hand if u want ur holidays more to ur liking. There was an all inclusive option but we decided not to since there was a shop down the road which had a lot of stuff in and was very useful at times. When u get down to the pool you might stumble across the pool bar. The pool bar serves drinks and food for you but is only open for lunch. In the pool bar u might find a funny lad called Joseph, serving you. He has great humour and always makes you laugh. Down at the pool there is a variety of kids and adults. The pool is quiet and relaxing and has lots of sun beds surrounding it. Some days we went down to the beach which wasn’t actually that far coming from my perspective. It was a 20 minute walk down to the beach. The Sunbeds are definitely very useful for the beach. They are comfortable and well kept organised and shade is provided aswell. Bare in mind u must book before hand. The cost for the sun beds are around 10 euros each, which is worth it since it helped. Back in the hotel you may choose to go out for dinner in town or choose the inclusive option instead. For the inclusive option you have a mini restaurant. Overall my holiday experience was definitely worth it and I enjoyed it.
