This spectacular located hotel can be found on the beach front, along the sandy Meia Praia beach, Faro Airport is less than an hour's drive from the hotel. Guests are welcomed by kind staff who offers the best service. The location was so close to the beach which was nice and the pool was absolutely wonderful. The ocean view was also lovely, but the room was lacking amenities that I wish would have been offered. First off for our elderly friends, the tub was quite high to step over and get in with no handle bars and was difficult. Every other hotel we had stayed in around Portugal offered tissues, lotion, and especially an espresso machine and kettle but none of that was offered. For not having packed lotion it was disappointing it was not provided. But we were more upset that for a sea view room an espresso and kettle were not provided to enjoy a coffee in the mornings while sitting on the balcony. We had to request one but were told they had none available. Also did not like the fact the shower had mold on several places of the tub.

Rubbish room location
Hotel is nice, but when you get a room above a bar playing loud music, not so good when you have paid a lot of euros. Not sue if I will use Vila GALÉ again, very disappointed

Wonderful stay at Vila Gale Lagos
We had a wonderful stay at Vila Gale Lagos. The hotel is so well kept, staff work tirelessly to clean and maintain all areas. The breakfast buffet had lots of choice and was delicious. Staff were always helpful. The grounds and swimming pool anreas are beautiful. The only negatives for us were the need for swim caps in the indoor pool so we didn’t use that and the drinks are rather expensive and with no nearby supermarket, it can get pricey for a few rounds of drinks. We used the Shell garage down the road for drinks on some occasions and to get some snacks as there is no where immediately close for lunch if you do not want to pay for the hotel buffet. The walk along the board walk to the marina is beautiful. We ate out in Lagos in the evenings. Ubers are cheap if the walk is too long. We would definitely recommend this hotel and loved our stay there. Thank you to the staff

Not great
Location was good, breakfast great choice of food, bacon and sausages where a bit cold, room was adequate good view. Pool bar food over priced alcohol was quite expensive 5.60 for sagress two and three euros cheaper everywhere else unless you where visiting for the day it was 20% cheaper for food and drink which is quite unfair as I paid nearly two thousand euros for a week also I was over charged by 10 euros my daughter and my niece where also over charged at the pool bar Summary nice room ,great pool ,food ok, service very slow , put weekly activities in room prior to arriving for night entertainment and child activities.
