Wonderful Hotel
I am writing this review from the wonderful balcony of room 107 at the AP Oriental Hotel. I had booked a sea view room via Tui, but we were upgraded on arrival to a premium sea view room, which has a huge sea front facing balcony, together with 2 high quality sun loungers with padded mattresses, and a table and chairs. We have yet to try the sun loungers by the pool, or at the garden area, as we don't feel the need to do so having our own, more comfortable ones on the spacious balcony, and we tend not use the pool very often. We have however noted that there are more than enough sun loungers in the communal areas, and therefore, no need for people to reserve these by placing their towels down early in the morning.
Our room has apparently recently been refurbished, which shows in its decor. Included in the premium room is a coffee machine, with pods replenished daily, plus a free daily bottle of water which is a great touch.
The hotel itself is adults only, and on the quiet end of the strip, away from the noise and loud music experienced further away, which is definitely a bonus. We are staying on a half board basis, and even though we prefer trying local restaurants for dinner, we have sampled the evening buffet twice since our arrival, and have found it to be better than many other hotels we've stayed at in the past.
The hotel decor is very unusual, and the atrium is spectacular, and a wonderful aspect of the hotel. Also, the drinks at the hotel bar, particularly the cocktails, are extremely reasonable and delicious.
The only thing that may prevent us booking this hotel again is, having been upgraded, we would be extremely disappointed if we were unable to have a premium sea view room again. Having said that, I'd highly recommend the AP Oriental hotel to anyone thinking of booking.
Warm, wonderful, relaxing space
Well connected to the town via bus and and taxi, beautiful location right at the beach. Internal decoration beautiful but not over the top. Very friendly and helpful staff who all speak English or German. We had the best room in the hotel we think, asolutely amazing. Very clean and tidy. Noise from the beach and from the lift was a little annoying but absolutely tolerable. Plenty of space but all amenities are always a short walk from your room. Food was varied and tasty and evening entertainment was welcome but not invasive. We very much appreciated the adults-only policy.

Mixed bag. Nice hotel, bad time
Just had a lovely 12 days at AP Oriental. The location is fabulous BUT whilst we were there the beach was a building site preparing for a big music festival in July so the noise was constant 24/7. The male staff were very helpful and the girls could learn from them. Breakfast was really nice but the evening buffet was shocking. The food was cold and tasteless. This needs addressing as there were lots of negative comments. We sunbathed in the lovely garden area and stickers for scanning for waiter service for drinks were just being put up which will be helpful. Overall, a mixed review. We were unlucky with the timing because of the noise day and night from the construction work on the beach.

Fantastic location in very close proximity to the beach. Lovely, very spacious rooms, most with the option of panoramic sea views. Generally peaceful (in May anyway) albeit with some occasional boom-box noise from the pavement-level bar upstairs. Food very good and the selection at breakfast and dinner always had something to appeal, including a good selection of fresh seafood at dinner. We felt that all hotel staff were genuinely very friendly, and always helpful and polite. There were many individuals worthy of a special mention but to have done so would have detracted from the work undertaken by the backroom staff whose names we didn’t know. WiFi is free but sometimes unreliable. The mobile signal is pretty good though so we were able to stay connected just fine with our data plans. Our only major disappointment concerned the hotel’s rather silly rule regarding the gentlemen’s dress code for the evening meal in the restaurant. This rule stipulates, for example, no shorts or t-shirts and wouldn’t be silly if it was enforced - it never was. We subsequently learnt that basically the restaurant is open to all which includes anyone wandering in off the beach. Make of that what you will but, as Evening Dining in shorts and t-shirts doesn’t fit with our own personal taste in a 4 star hotel restaurant then we’d probably opt only for a B&B package if we ever stayed again and visit any of the many local eateries instead.

Impressive hotel 🏨
Lovely hotel friendly staff, great facilities nice food, I was impressed as I'm a vegetarian and it catered well for that, which I've struggled in the past from other hotels that don't give a second thought, I would've given a 5 star but knocked it down to 4 star based on the fact I didn't sleep well because the duvet was way too thick as I'm a middle aged female I kept waking up feeling hot even with the air conditioning on. Location is in a quiet area 10 minutes walk to the rowdy bars which was too much in your face it seemed like they was competing with each other it would've been nice to have normal couple of bars to drink in
