To enjoy the Algarve sunshine, you have a choice: reclining by the Dom Jose Hotel pool, or soaking up some rays on the beach just outside. The hotel maintains an area on the beach complete with sunbeds and umbrellas (between June-September and at a small fee) so your total comfort is assured.

The Dom Jose Beach Hotel occupies a fabulous position, overlooking the beach at Quarteira and the deep blue Atlantic Ocean beyond. The long promenade outside the hotel offers a great opportunity to explore the local area. Bodering the promenade is the enticing sandy beach, where the hotel maintains an area for guests with sunbeds and umbrellas (at a fee, available in summer months only).
Within the immediate area there are shops, restaurants, and a wide range of watersports. Nearby there is a selection of excellent golf courses & a casino in Vilamoura.

Lovely modern hotel!!
We had an issue with our room location & we were relocated to one more suitable with no issue at all!!! Staff are so welcoming & polite, the place is spotless!! Great breakfast/lunch & drink selection is good also, great location too, very peaceful! Very cheap uber into vilamourer marina or it’s about 35 minute walk.
The only negative is the pool area is small & the sun beds are very cramped in but you can hire beds on the beach & towels for €2.

Tiny swimming pool area
Very small bedroom, very small bathroom, appallingly small pool area, far too many sunbeds almost on top of each other for the tiny area, otherwise very clean hotel with lovely staff, good breakfast, reasonably priced drinks and very well situated. Towels for beach/pool charged for at €2 each per day. Parking has to be searched for locally, none provided. Good 3 star hotel.

Room availability for 3 pm but still not ready and I am paying g for this
Really bad service
My room should be ready by 3 but been to reception 4 times still not ready! Eachbtime it 1 5 mims ridiculous. I been here 5 times abd I must say this will be my last.psying for a room thats no ready.

Comfort and cleanliness and friendly staff
6of us came requested our 3rooms on same floor which they did without hesitation Immaculate hotel along beachfront I couldn’t recommend Enugh We came first week n September and festival was on across road Great music and food trucks Overall my first visit to Portugal was great Quateria is peaceful compared to villamora and albuferua which we visited
