Pleasantly Surprised
I was a little apprehensive about booking this hotel seeing mixed reviews plus being notified they had building works on going at the hotel for the new spa. Regardless of this we still booked for the price and location. I must say I was actually really surprised how good it was. The staff cannot do enough for you. The hotel is very modern and clean. You wouldn't even know they had building work on going it was so quiet and to be honest the hotel in general was silent and we was in a room beside a lift. I do imagine once the spa is complete this hotel will gain a 5* rating because I was genuinely surprised it hadn't already. The only thing if I'm being very picky is id like to see updated and comfier sun loungers around the pool. Don't let the few negative reviews put you off booking, for the price and location this hotel is a steal. We will be returning hopefully before it gets more expensive.
Exceptional experience at this hotel
The hotel is in the perfect location, a stroll away form the harbour and beach. The overall feel of the hotel is relaxed and luxe and all the public areas were perfectly maintained. The rooms had all I needed and decorated in a cool relaxing and contemporary style - not a minimal as you often find, some lovely touches like rugs and wall hangings and lovely glasses for the wine and water -which was always stocked. The pool area was perfect. We were there with colleagues form work and there was ample seating and loungers throughout. Everything just felt like it had a touch of luxury adding to the ambience and overall stay. The food, I found was exceptional. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks AND a spectacular BBQ whilst we were there and I found the choice, quality and layout all wonderful. Fresh salads, perfectly cooked meat and fish, cooking stations, desert stations -everything you could wish for at all meals. I'm already talking about going back with family.

Much improved Hotel
Having stayed at this hotel when it was the Dom Pedro I was very pleased with the refurbishments The quality of the breakfast was very good
Nice hotel but improvement needed on the seagull issue.
Nice hotel friendly staff,recently refurbished very clean rooms,excellent breakfast good location walking distance to beach 5 minutes. One thing we had with breakfast was the lovely grilled tomatoes where not available every day,we had them twice in a week,and the mushrooms where full of garlic,not really a breakfast item,considering bacon sausage and beans where available everyday,apart from that there was excellent choices,one of the best breakfast we had. And the last dissapointing thing was flocks of seaguls in the pool,which we have never seen in other hotels in Vilamoura,i.e crowne plaza,orTivoli on our last 2 stays this year,hence the 4 star not 5 given,we did not use the pool because of this,we went to the beach everday which was an extra 22 euro a day.

Amazing stay at The Algarve
Amazing experience visiting The Algarve in Portugal This is a fairly new Hyatt property and being a lifetime globalist they truly went out of their way to make sure my family and I were well taken care of
Lani in particular who helped check us in really did everything he could - and believe me we had a lot of requests - we visited during World Cup time and he made sure we had an area for my family to sit and watch the games and simply went out of his way with each and every request.
Hoping they do eventually open a club lounge but that won't stop me from returning as we were very well treated.
