Designed to be the first green hotel in Madeira, 100% self-sufficient in energy. The Galomar is an exclusive access area for adults in the Resort. This building offers a unique location on the edge of a cliff, premium accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool with sea water, a luxurious SPA with panoramic sea view saunas and a garden for individual yoga practice.
This hotel is located on the coast, overlooking its own private bay. It is just a 12-minute drive from the airport and 15 minutes from the island's capital, Funchal. It is located in an abundant and quiet garden area. There is a small supermarket 250 meters from the hotel, as well as public transport links. The hotel offers a stunning view of the Atlantic. It comprises a total of 77 rooms spread over 3 floors.
The rooms overlook the garden, side or sea view, all with balcony, private bathroom, hairdryer, direct dial telephone, safe and Smart TV.
The hotel is located above the Manta Diving Center, as well as the Lido Galomar with direct access to the sea and the sea salt water pool, highly recommended for divers. In the neighboring hotel the Galosol is offered aerobics classes, as well as table tennis, squash, aerobics, basketball, handball, volleyball, badminton, billiards and darts. The nearest golf course is just 12 km away.
Breakfast is served in the Atlantis Restaurant, exclusive to guests of the Hotel Galomar. Dinner is served at Hotel Galosol Please be aware that we are a non smoking Hotel

The best staff and a spectacular location!
Ruben, Barbara, Duarte, Gancalob& Carla were the most magnificent staff who collectively helped to make my stay extraordinary. The property itself sits on the Cliff side by the ocean and if you’re inclined to swim in it, you can rest assured that Gonzalo will have your back! Then if you’re seeking a relaxing massage contact Karla at the Spa. She melted it away all of my stress and transported me to a place of Piercin. This is quite possibly one of the best massages I have ever had in my life and I’ve had hundreds! Also, housekeeping deserves a shout out! Marcia (whose daughter works at the PR1 hike trail - which is a must visit!) went above and beyond to keep rooms spotless! I’ve very much enjoyed my room which opened up to the water where I could hear the crashing waves. Barbara helped to make this possible as did Duarte. And Ruben went above and beyond to show me the property and help with luggage and was overall so kind and sincere. I definitely hope to come back and visit my new family at Sentido once again!

Sentido Galomar is a must book!
We had a wonderful stay at Sentido Galomar and would highly recommend this hotel!
The location is fantastic — it’s in a great central location for exploring Madeira, while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
Even though the hotel was fully booked during our visit, it never felt overly crowded or packed, which was a huge plus. Everything felt well organized and comfortable.
We had a rental car throughout our stay and there was plenty of parking surrounding the property.
One of the things that really stood out to us was how accommodating the hotel was. Our flight was very early on the day of departure, and the hotel arranged a takeaway breakfast for us so we wouldn’t have to leave without eating. It’s little touches like this that really set a hotel apart and show that they genuinely care about their guests.
We had a great experience overall, and the next time we find ourselves in Madeira, we would definitely book Sentido Galomar again!
Peaceful hotel with great views
Beautiful hotel, very quiet no problem with sunbeds and no music- bliss. We had sea views on the top floor which did not disappoint. Breakfast was good with a lovely view of the sea. The bus stop to Funchal is about 5mins away and takes about 35-40mins on undulating roads. The gym was well stocked with good classes to attend. The spa was one of the best I have been to. Will definitely come again.
