This magnificent hotel is situated in the heart of Funchal on the picturesque island of Madeira. It is an excellent destination to relax and regenerate enjoying beautiful landscape of the archipelago. Madeira Airport is in less than 21 kilometres away from the hotel. The exclusive establishment is located in the city centre and within walking distance from the most important monuments of Funchal namely the cathedral, local museums and theatres. The superb hotel offers different accommodation options ranging from classic double rooms to superior suites. The rooms are spacious, luminous and comfortably furnished. Each of them is equipped with TV, direct-dial phone and free Wi-Fi access. Visitors can try specialities of the cosy on-site snack bar. Guests can take a refreshing plunge in the on-site swimming pool, play billiard or relax on the hotel's sundeck.

Unbeatable Location & Amazing Rooftop Views
We chose Hotel Atlee for our anniversary trip to Madeira, and it exceeded every expectation.
Breakfast was a real highlight — excellent variety and everything tasted fantastic. We also loved that the hotel organizes entertainment for guests; we happened to catch a lovely live music evening during our stay.
The location is truly unbeatable. Everything is within easy walking distance: the central market is just 5 minutes away (a fascinating spot, highly recommend a visit), the cable car is about 15 minutes on foot, and the promenade with a wonderful beer spot is only 2 minutes away. Coincidentally, a rally race was taking place on the island during our visit and many roads were closed, but thanks to the hotel’s central location we could still explore the whole center of Funchal on foot, reaching anywhere within about 15 minutes.
Right below the hotel there’s a beautiful green park with incredible plants and a charming café tucked under the trees — a lovely spot to unwind.
The pool and rooftop deserve special mention. The pool is spotlessly clean, and swimming there with sweeping views over Funchal was a real pleasure. The rooftop bar serves great cocktails at very reasonable prices, along with delicious food.
Staff were exceptional throughout our stay — attentive, warm, and always ready to help with anything, including arranging internal tours with convenient pickup right from the hotel entrance.
We also appreciated having both a comfortable workspace and beautiful areas to relax, making it a great choice for freelancers or anyone who wants to combine work and leisure.
An outstanding hotel in every respect — we’ll definitely return!

Nice hotel
Just got back from Hotel Madeira after a ten night stay. We were met at reception by Luis who was very friendly and welcoming, as he remained throughout our stay. The hotel has an excellent location and is within easy walking distance of Funchal’s bars, restaurants and shops. On the rooftop is the pool and bar which has a laid back vibe and is served by the friendly and humorous Elvio. The hotel in places is in need of a bit of a touch up, such as the worn carpet mostly throughout, but the new restaurant which is currently under construction is hopefully a sign of major investment. Would definitely return.
Nice location, great view, rooftop pool and terrace
This hotel is in a great location, we got around easily. Comfortable rooms. Nice and friendly staff. The rooftop pool was great, with amazing view. Next to it, you will find the panorama terrace, with delicious food and good drinks. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Average hotel, do not expect luxury. Rooms small, dated and the balcony depressing. Luis on reception is fantastic, always a smile. The location is excellent .

Great stay at hotel Madeira
We had a great family stay at this hotel all the facilities were spot on and the staff lovely , even before we arrived the hotel helped arrange our excursions, it is in a very central location and easy to get around, the snack bar on the roof is a nice touch and the rooms serve a purpose the breakfast is basic but has everything needed, would Highly recommend staying here, a big shout out to Caesar on reception who sorted excursions and restaurants for us
