Just two minutes from Funchal's largest beach, Formosa Beach, lies Pestana Royal, an All-Inclusive only hotel which offers amazing views of the Cabo Girao hillside, and is just 10 minutes from Funchal city centre. The hotel offers transportation to Funchal city, courtesy of the hotels (subject days and time table schedules as per units program, “first come, first served” basis).
During your stay, you can lounge by the two swimming pools that the hotel has to offer as well as a Solarium. The children can enjoy their time at the hotel's kids club or in the playground, whereas there are plenty of activities for the adults to partake in such as Pool, Mini Golf or Tennis. There are four restaurants to spend your evening meal, three being a set menu and one open buffet.

Each room is equipped with a television, safe, free Wi-Fi, a bath and hairdryer. For a small supplement will guarantee a balcony which offers panoramic views of the hotel's surroundings. Seaview rooms are also available at a supplement charge.

Wonderful hotel
Lovely hotel. Well maintained, all staff were great. All inclusive was of a high standard, drinks made with premium brands. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Highly recommended
We stayed in the hotel for a week and it was really a great vacation, amazing food, drinks and service, staff were friendly and nice to us. The only minus was the open bathroom in our room, but we god used to it. Otherwise nothing to complain about. Highly recommended.

Best week in years
We have had a wonderful week here and would thoroughly recommend it. Very clean, well maintained if a little "period" in its appearance, it a pleasure to be in Beds are firm on first touch but very comfortable. Bathrooms are very good, if a little dated. Staff are great, special mention for the lads in the bar. Food is good for an all inclusive, best we have been in for a long while. Best of all is the chilled vibe, it's the most relaxed we've been for ages Thank You Pestana Royal, you were great

Nice hotel but at best it’s a 3 star
Lovely hotel but definitely not 4/5 star in my opinion. The pool area is lovely and the staff were very friendly, the actual bedrooms were very tired despite paying for a deluxe room, they are definitely in need of a makeover . The cleaning of the room was also very hit and miss, sometimes good and sometimes very poor. I honestly wouldn’t stay here again as it’s too far out and there isn’t anything near, the hotel provides a free bus but it only runs twice a day, 10.30am and 15.30pm and if it’s full you don’t get on! We found using Ubers were very handy and also very cheap.
