Avenida Hotel

Location Perfect right in the heart of the old town. Two minutes walk to Levante beach and bars / restaurants abundance of choice! For shoppers it’s shopping heaven close to Pandora / Zara /Mango and many local souvenir shops. Transfer to this hotel isn’t door to door the coach drops off 5-10 min walk to hotel which is no good for anyone with mobility issues!

Pool area A little outdated but lovely roof top sea views. Pool itself is in the shade but the mini jacuzzi is more in the sun. No umbrellas so no good if you are not a sun worshiper. Sun loungers themselves are in need of replacing they are quite uncomfortable I think the hotel could do with updating these or investing in sun lounger toppers.

Pool bar Open from 11am till 645 up to the 30th September where the bar guy that’s there most days is really friendly. Choices of drinks are really good and you can get branded drinks as part of the all inclusive small snack area serving snacks of chips burgers etc.. option to purchase ice cream’s - you are able to take drinks including bottled water to your room.

Rooms Really clean beds are comfortable the bathroom is clean and showers are powerful and hot. Fridge in the room but if you want this filling as part of all inclusive they charge you for this. Our balcony area over looked the Main Street where it is busy the noise level is acceptable it never kept us up or spoilt anything. Room was serviced daily with clean towels.

Staff Pool Bar area first class service and happy to help and look after you.

Main bar area staff are abrupt and seem really stressed. Service is slow there too.

Restaurant staff Average not overly friendly not overly rude.

Things that would make this hotel better is to invest in the pool area with regards to sun loungers and when the pool areas close at 7pm turn this space into a sunset roof top bar as the lobby bar is inside so dated and lacking in ambience. The lifts need an update they are so small and fit three people in at a time which you can be waiting ages for the lift.

Overall I would still visit this hotel again due to location and cleanliness of the hotel.

Enjoyed another four night stay in this lovely hotel. Arrived late, check-in easy (think having stayed before helped). Dinner was over but hotel very kindly provided a snack in the dining room for late-comers. Bar was still open so was able to enjoy this with a glass of wine. Booked hotel direct and allocated room on first floor as requested. Had paid extra for a room with a balcony. Great to sit there and enjoy watching the world go by and busy cafe etc across the road. No problem taking drinks from the bar to the room which was great. The bar and lounge area is very comfortable and staff welcoming and efficient. Overall, all hotel staff were friendly and hard working. We stayed on an All inclusive basis and found it to be very good value, even if we wanted to eat out occasionally, was worth the price. The food choices were varied. Lunch and dinner - always soups, pizza/pasta, meat dishes, fish dishes, vegetarian options, salads and cheese/cold meats. Various desserts, cakes, pastries and ice cream. Every meal there was fresh fruit galore. Water and drinks were served to your table by the staff. The roof top pool bar was open on this visit (not early May) and this was great. Plenty sun beds available (towel from reception 10€ deposit) and a canopy shaded area on lower level beyond the pool if you needed it. The location of this hotel is great. Surrounded by shops, old town bars and a few steps from the beach. For value, comfort, location and cleanliness we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
