Medplaya Hotel Flamingo Oasis

Lovely stay in this hotel for short break with friends . Would definitely recommend it !! Great location ! 15 mins easy walk to ‘Strip’ 20 mins walk to beach Spotlessly clean hotel in all areas ! Lots of seating areas and bars Large room for 4 adults . Comfy beds , plenty of wardrobe space and mirrors . Large bathroom with big shower and double sinks Decent sized balcony with lovely view of mountains and city (tho there was a big crane and new hotel being built which will spoil this view !) Really enjoyed the lagoon style pool ! Tho usual thing of people saving sunbeds early morning and not turning up til late afternoon ! All inclusive food was fabulous! Hot , tasty and plenty of choice ! Best I’ve had in a big hotel !! All staff were friendly helpful and very pleasant ! Indoor ‘Jungle Theme’ area inside was quite impressive and unusual !!! Good photo opportunities !!!! Fabulous rooftop bar and pool area tho big disappointment that this area was only open to Club Room guests during the day . Normal Room guests only got to use bar Thursday-Sunday from 9pm- midnight and had to pay for drinks ! We would loved to have had the chance to use this during the day - it was a beautiful area with stunning views ! Great holiday and would definitely stay again !!!

Unfortunately, the standard of the accommodation, food, service and facilities fell considerably below what I would expect from a hotel advertised as four-star and sold as an all-inclusive holiday.

The food was one of the biggest disappointments. The children's menu was essentially the same every day, consisting mainly of burgers and hot dogs. The chips were frequently undercooked, and the main dinner menu offered very little variety, with the same menu being repeated each day with only the meat option changing.

As this was an all-inclusive holiday, we had paid a significant amount of money with the expectation that meals and drinks would be included and that we would not need to spend additional money eating elsewhere. However, due to the poor quality and lack of variety of the food, our family had to eat out at additional expense. This was not what we had paid for when booking an all-inclusive holiday.

The bar service was also extremely disappointing. There was no clearly visible drinks menu, and when I asked a member of the bar staff where I could find one, I was simply pointed towards a QR code that was positioned out of sight. The attitude of the bar staff was extremely rude and unhelpful, and this was one of the poorest examples of customer service I have experienced.

Unfortunately, the restaurant staff were also consistently rude and unhelpful. The tables and chairs appeared tired and in need of updating. On one occasion, I witnessed a gentleman sitting on a chair when the legs gave way underneath him. This raises serious concerns about the condition and maintenance of the hotel's furniture and facilities.

The entertainment was another disappointment. It did not appear to cater for all guests and, in our experience, certain groups seemed to be excluded from activities. The children's club was also located outside in a corner of the hotel and was difficult to find, giving the impression that it was an afterthought rather than a properly integrated facility.

The lifts were not a major issue during our stay. I would also like to acknowledge that the cleaners kept our room reasonably clean throughout the holiday.

However, our attempts to raise our concerns directly with management were particularly frustrating. On two separate occasions, I asked reception to arrange for a member of management to speak with me and left my room number so that I could be contacted. Nobody came to speak with me. Instead, on one occasion, a pair of flip-flops was delivered to my room, which was completely unrelated to my request and left me feeling that my complaint had simply been ignored.

I want to make clear that this experience has not put me off visiting Benidorm itself, which I will continue to visit. However, based on our experience, I would not recommend this particular hotel to other families

For a four star hotel the food was awful so we all ended up eating out most of the time. The beds were poor in our room, one rock hard and one soft. Nearly half the pool area in shade for most of the day which meant a free for all first thing in the morning. The sea was actually warmer than the pool and one staff member in the restaurant was rude. Probably why I do villas as was there for someones 60th My own opinion here some people might say otherwise but will let you judge if you go.
