Arrived at Sol Pelicanos Ocas at 12 midnight, checking in took 25 minutes as there was a problem with 2 separate families checking in in front of us. Room was fine, clean & pretty basic. Ensuite was clean & functional, with hand soap, body wash & shampoo. Balcony was of an ok size to fit 2 people, with a table & 2 chairs. Beds quite hard & uncomfortable, although i did get more used to it as the time went on. No blankets, just sheets...asked for a blanket at reception, arrived quickly but had a small stain. on so hadn't been cleaned between usage. Air con was good & efficient when room was hot during the day. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room but you can take a travel kettle as we did or hire one from reception. Breakfast was good, on offer was a cooked breakfast, cereals, continental, juices, tea & coffee. Evening meal was not so good, limited choices & repetitive, only 2 choices of vegetables, which were mostly overcooked, asparagus & potatoes inedible! Salad bar ok, pizza ok. Swimming pool is lovely with lots of access points, especially for people like myself who cannot get up & down ladder type entry, although it was freezing cold, unfortunately this caused cramp in my feet so didn't go in again during our stay. The Hotel as a whole is fine & staff are friendly enough, entertainment was not great & there is not much atmosphere. We didn't encounter any real problems, so i would say our stay was just average but wouldn't return to this hotel again.

Overpriced
Just got back on Monday, stayed bed and breakfast, tried the breakfast out on the tues morning and all I can say is,below average, burnt sausages all luke warm,best thing about breakfast was the coffee machine, just so happy we didn't go all inclusive, there's a great cafe round corner in the indoor market, does great breakfast, as for the rooms cleaned everyday and staff very friendly,downside if you have to use the lifts take a packed lunch,you could be there a while,also not enough staff on reception at check in check-out timed,so overall its well overpriced for what you get,the pool area is lovely yes,but not worth the money you pay,there's plenty more hotels at a lot less money with better facilities and better food,so shop around

Stay at the Sol Pelicanos
Stay at the pelicanos We had a very good overall experience at Sol Pelícanos and really enjoyed our stay.
The cleanliness of our room was very good, and the hotel is in a great location. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, although there were one or two exceptions.
The all-inclusive food was lovely, with plenty of choice and something to suit everyone. We were impressed with the variety and quality of the food throughout our stay.
One thing that was a little disappointing was that the swim-up bar wasn’t included in the all-inclusive package, meaning you had to pay for items there. We felt this was a little misleading, especially when staying on an all-inclusive basis, and it would have been nice for this to be included.
There were also a couple of other issues that could be improved. There was sometimes an unpleasant smell around the showers near the pool, and while sitting on the sun loungers we would occasionally get a strong whiff of drains. We also had an issue with a leak in the bathroom over the shower. However, once we reported it, the staff acted promptly and dealt with the problem.
Overall, we had a very good experience at Sol Pelícanos and enjoyed our holiday. There are a few things that could be improved, but these didn’t stop us from having a lovely stay. We would definitely say that the hotel has a lot of positives, particularly the location, cleanliness, friendly staff and choice of food.

Asked early on for three rooms lower floors, no response. Put me on 14th floor see you next Tuesday. Miserable señorita on front desk you pay for safe no printer work, no get deposit back! Rooms are 💩 beds like army beds. Pools never been cleaned still got alge from mick garve. Swerve it

ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL
Just returned home after spending a week at this hotel. Worst holiday of my life Been to Benidorm many many times and this hotel spoilt everything The only positive were the pools Food 1/10 very poor quality breakfast food and some overcooked some undercooked one morning the sausages were freezing in the middle so wasn’t eaten, mushrooms rank boiled in water, bacon like rubber, beans anemic The LIFTS are appalling. Last night we got in the lift to go to the 4th floor. The lift set off and got to around the second floor then a loud bang and juddering and the lift dropped and stopped then dropped again and stopped we couldn’t get out and had to wait till the doors opened it had dropped down to the first floor and was absolutely terrifying My husband has bad hips and we had no choice but to go up the stairs to the 4th floor Another lift was also out of order a good few days The front rotating door wasn’t working at all during our stay so had to use the fire exit door The bedroom well what can I say very very basic No kettle as advertised so we had to go and buy one The bedroom wall was filthy as was the floor felt like I had something stuck on my feet. The bathroom lots of tile grout round the top of the bath was missing and the rest was dirty The grab rail on the wall in the bath was ready to drop off The bidet was missing just pipe work left in the wall where it used to be We arrived Friday no cleaning of our room was done at all Saturday and Sunday and no change of towels We booked a double room but were given a room with 3 beds which made the room extremely tight. The rules around the pool area are like you’re back at school. No food at all round pool have to eat in their bar area and buy their food and drink No balls or lilos Have to give them a disc for a cup or they won’t serve you No room towels to be taken to pool they take them off you Staff very miserable and one guy extremely rude in the snack bar Reception staff also not friendly and some rude Would we return to this hotel most certainly not We only booked this as our usual hotel agir springs was fully booked. We’ve also stayed at the following hotels in Benidorm and never experienced anything like we did at Sol pelicanos ocas We’ve stayed at Flamingo oasis Perla Rio park Agir springs
