Located in Benalmadena, in a residential area just 200 m from the beach and Malaga Airport is about 8 km away. This hotel is 2 km from the city centre and its many shops and entertainment areas while the stunning Marina City is only 1 km away. The hotel offers a cosy bar, a souvenir shop, a TV room and a restaurant. The hotel also offers laundry service and the younger guests will be entertained at the kids' club and playground. The hotel boasts a water park, with a lake pool and water games for children. For the younger ones there are two animal-shaped pools, a shark and sea serpent, a mushroom-shaped shower and a tower with two water slides and a splash bucket that will make for an exciting holiday.
Brilliant for the kids. Location great too
Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and found the hotel to be clean, family-friendly, and well maintained, with plenty to keep children entertained.
The hotel has excellent facilities, including four pools: a splash pool, a children's pool with small slides, a deeper activity pool where games and entertainment take place, and a separate waterpark pool with larger slides. There are a good amount of sunbeds however we didn't think enough to serve the hotel especially when full. There is also a children's playground, a daytime entertainment programme, a mini club, and a mini disco every evening followed by different entertainment acts.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and hardworking throughout our stay.
The food offered a different themed dinner each evening, while still providing familiar favourites such as chips, pizza, pasta, and spaghetti for those with less adventurous tastes. Breakfast was what you would expect from a good 4 star hotel, with a wide choice including cooked breakfast items, cereals, toast, bagels, porridge, and self-service drinks. It was nice to have the option of eating indoors or outside on the terrace.
The pool snack bar was excellent for lighter meals, serving chips, onion rings, toasties, chicken nuggets, burgers, and hot dogs between 12:00 and 18:00. The main pool bar opened at 10:00, and the token system for reusable cups worked well. We brought our own reusable cups and had no problems having them filled.
The hotel is only a short walk from the beach, with plenty of shops and a pleasant promenade for an evening stroll. The on-site massage area is also well worth recommending, offering great treatments at very reasonable prices.
The hotel was generally very clean. The only area that could benefit from more frequent attention was the steps leading to the water slides, which appeared to receive a deeper clean mainly at weekends despite the number of guests using them throughout the week.
Our main criticism was the amount of queuing, particularly around the pool area. Although access to the pool complex opens at 9:00 am, guests begin queuing from around 8:00 am. Once inside, the gates to the sunbed areas remain closed until 10:00 am, meaning many people spend up to two hours waiting. In our opinion, this system is unnecessary and could be managed much more efficiently. The pools themselves are open from approximately 10:00 am until 6:00 - 6:30 pm.
Meal times were also later than we are accustomed to, with breakfast served from 8:00–10:00, lunch from 1:30–3:30 pm (unless using the snack bar), and dinner from 7:30–9:30 pm. Dinner service was particularly busy, with long queues forming both for the food stations and the restaurant bar as soon as it opened.
As with many all-inclusive board options, local alcoholic brands are included, but most brands and some cocktails incur an additional charge. Ice pops are included within the all-inclusive package, whereas branded ice creams are not. During our stay, we also noticed that the slushies, which were included when we arrived at the end of July, became chargeable from the start of August. Guests could purchase a souvenir penguin cup for €4.50, with refills costing €1.50 each.
The family rooms were a little smaller than expected. As a family of four, space was quite limited, although this didn't affect us too much as we spent very little time in the room.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday. The hotel offers excellent facilities, friendly staff, good food, and plenty of activities for families. If the pool opening system and queues were improved, the overall experience would be significantly better.
Hotel itself spacious and clean, food good enough. On day 2 I am standing in a queue with my kids trying to get into the pool area. We are early risers, come for the relaxation of sunbathing and swimming and have never seen anything quite like the set up! The hotel has the pools locked til 10am where guests are expected to queue up, then to witness something like squid games as people fight over the sun loungers! Why could the pool not be opened to allow guests to filter In and out and use the facilities they paid for as they wish ! For this reason I will not be returning.
Juani has made our room up beautifully, it’s clean and tidy and welcoming. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff on the check in desk, Nico, was very helpful and friendly.
The hotel was very nicely presented. The room was basic, bed too hard for my personal liking and not big enough for a family of four. Storage was limited and could do with draws at bed side. No tea, coffee making facilities in the room and drinks not available until 8.00 am from restaurant, if you are an early riser and like to sit on the balcony with a coffee this is frustrating. If you want a quieter room choose one overlooking the entrance the higher the better
The food was good, plenty to choose from to suit all tastes. Nice area to have alfresco eating All inclusive drinks were ok no complaints, would expect some ice cream for children in the daytime on all inclusive
Entertainment was good for families and plenty to do in the day.
Staff very pleasant hard working and helpful.
Overall The hotel does what it says on the tin , it is designed for families especially with children 3-11 year olds. Location close to the shops and beach Expect to queue for sun-beds in high season, this could be eased if the pool area was open earlier.
