Hotel Best Triton

Really enjoyed our stay at the Best Triton and would definitely come back.

First impressions were really good….The hotel has a huge driveway on the way in and what seemed like loads of parking, which I actually found quite unusual for a holiday hotel. Ideal though if you’ve hired a car and don’t fancy spending half your holiday hunting for somewhere to park it.

Check in was really easy and straightforward. Our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived, but they sorted our wristbands straight away and let us leave our luggage securely while we went off. The wristbands also double as your room key, which is brilliant. No key cards to lose, forget or somehow deactivate by putting them next to your phone!

We’d upgraded to a Premium room and were on one of the higher floors. The room was excellent. Really spacious, two huge double beds, a big bathroom with a great shower and, most importantly, cracking air con. Plenty of storage and hangers too, so you don’t have to live out of your suitcase for a week.

There’s a small fridge in the room and they replenished the water every day. We also had some Pepsi when we arrived, although sadly that wasn’t replenished unless you paid extra. I feel unlimited Pepsi could have really taken this review to another level.

The housekeeping was excellent. Room cleaned every day and, importantly, they didn’t mess about with the air con. Nothing worse than coming back after being out in the Spanish heat to discover someone has helpfully turned your room into a sauna.

The hotel itself is massive and really spacious. There are seating areas absolutely everywhere, so you can always find somewhere to sit, have a drink or just chill out.

The pool area was decent too, with three separate areas, plenty of day beds and a kids’ section with water features. The pools don’t open until 10am either, which means no 6:30am military operation involving towels, sunbeds and people pretending they just happened to be awake. A definite plus.

Food was good for a large hotel. There are two restaurants – one for Premium guests and another for standard rooms. You’ve got the usual hotel buffet selection: chips, chicken, loads of salad, fresh pizza and pasta. There was also a chef cooking meat fresh, including chicken, steak, burgers and hot dogs. The burgers in particular were really tasty and made with proper quality meat rather than the mysterious beige discs you sometimes get at hotel buffets.

I used the gym as well and was genuinely impressed. Really good setup for a hotel gym. There did seem to be a few people in there without hotel wristbands, though, so I’m still not entirely sure whether I’d accidentally joined the local Benalmádena fitness club.

The main bar area was good, again with loads of seating and plenty of space.

Overall, we really enjoyed the Best Triton. It’s big, modern, comfortable and has pretty much everything you need for a decent holiday. Great rooms, excellent cleaning, good facilities, decent food and plenty of space to relax without feeling like everyone in the hotel is sitting on top of you.

It ticks all the boxes for us and we’d happily stay again.

And any hotel that prevents the traditional dawn sunbed wars gets an extra point from me.

Hotel is beautiful and in a great location on the beach front and 5 mins to the marina.I would definitely return . The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good . Also the drinks at the hotel were very reasonable.

Absolutely excellent hotel in all aspects will certainly use again in future visits to Costa del sol
