Totally renovated resort located on the beachfront between Marbella and Estepona. Only 10 minutes by car from Puerto Banús, 12 km from Marbella and Estepona and their beautiful seafront promenades. The airport is about 40 minutes away by car. Excellent and varied international and local dining options in the onsite restaurant and tasty drinks in the bar. Guests will love to spend a sunny day in the outdoor pool area sunbathing on a sunbed or having a refreshing swim. For younger guest, there is an area special for them. Business travellers can take advantage of the meeting rooms to host business meetings or other private events. The rooms are decorated with light tones and are equipped with all the essential amenities needed to have a pleasant stay.

Would definitely come back
Ok so the location is quite far out but buses can easily be picked up after a 10 min walk or uber. After reading some of the reviews we were abit worried but we are so glad we chose to decide for ourselves. Obviously there are things we could say wasn’t so great but I would be nit picking The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The food is brilliant for a fully inclusive there is so much to choose from and it was always hot. The staff work so hard. If you want a holiday where you just want to relax and unwind this is perfect. Thanks for a wonderful stay xx

Ideal spot for mini break
Pleasantly surprised after reading previous reviews. Stayed with a couple of friends for a short break for some September sunshine. Weather has been perfect, close to the sea although it’s not the best beach and the sea was very choppy. Hotel is clean, we have stayed primarily around the quiet adult section which is super quiet, nice pool and grass around to sunbath on. Plenty of sun beds and never had a problem whatever time we arrived. Lots of golfers here and speaking to them it’s an ideal base to go to the surrounding courses. The dining experience has been way better than I expected and the food choice has been really good for all meals and there are nice outdoor dining options as well. Our room wasnt the best with a weird view towards the main entrance and I would say its tired in areas and needs some touching up but its clean, beds comfy, quiet, air con good and nice size - would I come back … yes I probably would for a reasonable short break it’s been really lovely and weather helped

Holiday 2026
Just got back from this hotel. First the room .it was large too large for 2 of us There was an awful smell kept creeping in to the room smells like sewage. That was every day we smelt it. The food was ok but dining room was very noisy and crowded with golfers so loud. Sunbeds very uncomfortable we both had bad backs plus the beds are uncomfortable. The beach needs cleaning up but ok. Would we go again? Definitely not its too remote for us nothing to do or take a stroll for a couple in there 70s.
Wonderful, kind and incredibly helpful staff
A huge thank you to everyone at Sol Marbella for their kindness and support during what was a very difficult and stressful time for our family. Due to the wildfires, my stepmother had to evacuate our home at very short notice while looking after our two large dogs.
The hotel staff were incredibly understanding and went above and beyond to help us. They kindly extended her stay at a minimal additional cost and then helped us arrange another night at extremely short notice. Everyone we encountered was friendly, compassionate and genuinely helpful, which meant so much to us during such a worrying situation.
Sol Marbella is a lovely hotel in a great location, and it was particularly convenient for walking the dogs. We are extremely grateful to the whole team for making a difficult situation so much easier. Thank you all so much!

Disappointed
I’m reading a lot of the reviews on this hotel that I am currently staying in and wonder if I am actually in the same hotel. The room itself is nice apart from the drain smell everytime you enter. The sunbeds to select from around the various pools are mainly mouldy or covered in tree debris or bird mess. The beach is unappealing and the fencing to the hotel boundary is in shocking condition and debris everywhere. Cigarette ends everywhere The fire alarm outside our room is hanging off the wall and obviously been a flood somewhere as the ceiling outside our room is very damp and actually the room opposite looks Like it’s been flooded and has no door. We upgraded to a sea View which is ok but we also overlooking a broken extractor fan over the restaurant with the smell of fried food constant. I’ll add some pictures for clarity and cabbing into Marbella for some chill time that we wanted. Such a shame. Have been trying to contact on the beach who we booked with but as per the ai world Now can’t seem to contact a human So disappointing for a much needed 4 day break of relaxation that was needed
