Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar

Home from a six night stay for our anniversary treat to ourselves. We were lucky to be given a sea view upgrade on arrival. Very much appreciated. Check in was quick & a map of the hotel was given to us. Our room was spacious and very clean, the bed was massive .. bed sheets were white & crisp. Beautiful. some of the furniture was a tad tatty as was the bathroom door. But this didn’t take away our enjoyment of being there. Shampoo, towns tea & coffee, fridge etc in the room . The pool areas were being cleaned & kept tidy constantly, but again some areas needed repair, broken tiles & one of the bridges had tiles falling off. The sun beds were never cleaned and looked filthy..we never had a problem getting a bed. The pools are salt water & didn’t seem to be heated ! The buffet restaurant was spotless & plenty of hot & cold food for everyone. The staff also worked very hard to keep it running well. Every evening there would be entertainment, which was very popular. The bar outside is lovely and if full board there is a snack bar during the day. There is also crazy golf next to the hotel. ( you pay for this I believe) The hotel is situated next to the beach which we enjoyed going to. Key card is on your wrist so no worry about loosing your keys.. the hotel is situated a short walk from other bar’s & restaurants. There is a path you can walk which takes you to other bays & go left to the small shopping mall overall we really enjoyed our stay . The cherry on the cake was our view from our room .. staff were lovely and the lobby to chill in was huge with complementary water. We would definitely recommend going. We had a lovely stay . Very good hotel. Location directly on beach and short walk to the centre of Caleta, shops restaurants and bars etc. Food excellent in hotel as was housekeeping During our stay
