Overall – 4/5
Alua Suites Fuerteventura delivered a fantastic holiday. Great food, good drinks, excellent rooms, and a warm, hardworking team. The animation team is exceptional and brings the whole resort to life. Clean, well‑maintained, and in a peaceful location. We had a brilliant stay and would happily return.
Food – 4/5
Good quality and good variety across all meals — we always found something enjoyable to eat. Breakfast was consistently strong, lunch and dinner offered enough rotation to avoid repetition, and overall the standard was solid for an all‑inclusive.
Drink – 4/5
Bar service was good and the range of drinks was more than enough. Cocktails weren’t the best, but you’ll always find something decent to drink. A great bonus was the option to buy genuinely good bottles of wine for around €20, which elevated the experience.
Room – 4/5
Our room was excellent: spacious, comfortable, with effective air‑conditioning and a lovely balcony. Clean, quiet, and well‑maintained — exactly what you want for a relaxing stay.
Staff – 4/5
Most staff were excellent, and some were truly outstanding. Friendly, welcoming, and hardworking across reception, bars, restaurants, and housekeeping. Their attitude made a noticeable difference to the holiday.
Animation Team – 5/5
A true asset to the hotel. Fun, energetic, and incredibly welcoming. They run a wide range of activities without ever being pushy, and their enthusiasm genuinely lifts the atmosphere. One of the best animation teams we’ve experienced.
Cleanliness & Maintenance – 4/5
The hotel is very clean and well maintained throughout. Some minor wear and tear here and there, but nothing that detracts from the stay. We had two small room issues and both were fixed within an hour — great response time. All housekeeping and maintenance staff work very hard to keep the rooms and grounds in good shape.
Location – 4/5
Situated on the edge of town, which actually works in its favour. You wouldn’t really want to be right in the centre of Corralejo, and the hotel is strong enough that you don’t feel the need to go out and about much. Peaceful, relaxed, and well‑placed. There are some derelict buildings nearby, but this is no reflection on the hotel.
Value for Money – 4/5
A very solid all‑inclusive offering for the price. Good food, great staff, excellent animation team, clean facilities, and comfortable rooms make it feel well worth the cost.

Final Superstar Mention
• Guillermo (Animation Team) – Truly exceptional. Full of energy and passion for his job, he made the holiday memorable and is a major reason we’d return. The entire animation team was amazing, but Guillermo deserves special recognition.
I really enjoyed out stay here - the location is great, the rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable - loved the walk in wardrobe and the huge bathroom and I loved that we had a ground floor room with a terrace leading straight to the pool. The terrace was lovely and I think this was a real bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind and helpful. For me the only downside was the restaurant for dinner, there wasn't too much choice for me that was veggie or pescatarian and some of the options I didn't like at all - we were there for 4 nights and had breakfast every day which was great, lunch on 3 days which was also fine - plenty of salads and choices, just the 2 x evening meals we had felt a bit disappointing but we ate out the other 2 nights and there are plenty of restaurants in Corralejo. The r9om has a small free and there is a supermarket on site for buying drinks, snacks etc. The hotel was peaceful and comfortable, it was very quiet at night, great value and it felt very safe as a mum travelling solo with a child. I'd definitely return although may just book b&b instead of all inclusive. We used the front desk to book a catamaran trip which was also great. We had a hire car and we're always able to park right outside on the street with no problem.
Too many niggles for all of us let this clean, spacious hotel down, we had a nice family time in school holidays but wouldn’t be back.
Rooms: 2124 had broken air conditioning, was small & tired but very clean. We were moved into 4105 after 2 nights which was much bigger and cooler. Front door needed an engineer two days in a row, housekeeping was a bit erratic if they came/didnt, Terrace door worked from one side but not other. (lots of complaints about faulty re aircon in reception but did see some units being replaced)
Food: Terra (buffet) was nice, very fresh, loads of fruit, bread, desserts etc, but I found the hot food bland. Fresco (pool buffet) was hot as hell so ate there once, much smaller. Enresque (à la carte) was nice & flavourful. Soft drinks were fizzy or sugary juice, alcohol was pretty standard.
Team: Activities team were great, brilliant mix of things to do, knew when not to push. All staff were courteous but not effervescent, except one who never wore her name badge and was miserable, rude and actively went out of her way to avoid serving drinks and huffed around.
Location: we enjoyed the 20-25min walk to main town along the beach, pretty flat, and Corralejo had plenty of bars&restaurants for our 10nights. (We ate out most nights but not reflection on hotel). Sunset bar over the road nice for a cocktail.
Others: Sunbeds, we got 3 every day, but it is a towel down, eat breakfast come back. Normally full by 11am. Last few days manager removed towels at 10.30am that weren’t occupied (not Brits actually!). Gym not air conditioned but big, short opening hours. WiFi was slow especially as the day picked up. Entertainment we watched was excellent standard.
If we’d got lucky on the room & had no issues it could’ve been 4 stars, and luckily we had a bit of a price deal so hasn’t dented us too much, but if we’d paid what the other site was charging I maybe been more upset.
The hotel itself was good, but the location was awful. Jet2 described the location as being 50 metres from a beautiful beach and 100 metres from a thriving town. The beach had 30 foot of rock between it and the sea, so the sea was not accessable. The town was dead. The road leading to the beach was lined with a building site. Due to there being so little to see other than the hotel, we changed our flight and left on day 5 of our 7 day holiday. The coach picked us up and we had the opportunity to see the whole area of Carroleja, which looked very run down, with graffiti and dead streets everywhere. Never again!
Great stay. Got upgraded to My Favourite Club. The Bar staff at The Spot and the Fitness team were amazing. Would recommend.
