Club Jandia Princess

We stayed at Club Jandia Princess for 9 nights and, unfortunately, we wouldn’t return.

Most of the staff were friendly enough and the views from the hotel are fantastic.

The food was generally fine. Two of us did have an upset stomach during the stay, although, in all fairness, we ate a lot, so it’s impossible to say whether this was related to the hotel.

Unfortunately, the room and general maintenance were a real disappointment.

Housekeeping was very poor. I’m 100% sure that our balcony wasn’t swept once during our 9-night stay. There were also stains on the bedding, we had loads of ants in the room and the air conditioning simply didn’t work properly.

The safe was already broken when we arrived, and on the second day our door broke and wouldn’t close properly. These are fairly basic things that really shouldn’t be happening in a hotel of this standard.

We also weren’t provided with shower gel. We mentioned it to the housekeeper, but eventually just gave up and went to Mercadona to buy our own.

The coffee machines were another frustration. Some were broken or extremely slow, creating ridiculous queues. Also, the coffee and tea provided in the room is decaf only, which is a strange choice — especially for anyone who actually drinks coffee in the morning.

The air conditioning throughout the hotel was another major issue. If you struggle with hot weather and like having somewhere cool to escape to, I would definitely take this into consideration before booking. The restaurants, reception area and bars weren’t properly air-conditioned during our stay, and the air conditioning in our room appeared to be about 50 years old and was essentially useless.

Would I return? Definitely not.

That said, we found the holiday at around 40% off, so we didn’t pay anywhere near the full price, and we still had an amazing time with our family. The reason we had such a great holiday was the time spent together and the people we were with, rather than the hotel itself.

The hotel has some genuinely fantastic views and a beautiful setting, and there were certainly positives. But for us, the poor housekeeping, maintenance problems, ants, ineffective air conditioning and various basic issues meant that we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

It was our first time in Fuerteventura and found an all inclusive trip there for 4 nights as a short summer holiday. The location is beautiful, the beach is one of the nicest I've been to and is a 5 minute walk down steps and the views from the hotel over looking the beach are fantastic. Our room was fine, with a comfortable and large bed and what you would typically expect with a good balcony but the aircon wasn't too cold. The rooms were cleaned and refreshed each day we were there. There were activities on daily, both in the evenings and in the days and the staff were absolutely fine. There's a gym, good amount of pools and we loved the swim up bar. The food was always absolutely fine, everything included as you would expect of an all inclusive with a snack bar available for most of the day too. We were incredibly impressed for the money we paid and what the facilities, cleanliness and overall expectation of it was. The negative, it was slightly dated and in desperate need of some updating all over but this is due to be done over the coming 18 months. I cannot wait to go back once it's refurbished
